Tokenovate names William L'Heveder as Chief Revenue Officer

Tokenovate has appointed William L'Heveder as Chief Revenue Officer as the UK fintech looks to expand commercial adoption of its post-trade and settlement products.
L'Heveder joins from market data and analytics company BMLL, where he spent more than seven years and helped drive commercial growth through to the business's acquisition in 2025. Earlier in his career, he worked at Boston Consulting Group and as a derivatives trader.
He brings capital markets and commercial experience to a senior role at a company focused on automating post-trade lifecycle processes for derivatives and securities financing transactions. At Tokenovate, he will work on expanding the commercial pipeline, developing client opportunities and building strategic relationships with institutions.
His appointment follows a busy period for the London-based company around Novat, its protocol for automating and coordinating the settlement of tokenised assets. The product is designed to use digital legal agreements, the FINOS Common Domain Model and programmable settlement to manage post-trade processes.
In recent weeks, Tokenovate disclosed two demonstrations tied to digital markets infrastructure. One involved what it described as the first CDM-native intra-day repo settlement on the Canton Network using USDC issued by Circle. The other involved atomic settlement for intra-day repo transactions in the Bank of England's Synchronisation Lab.
These developments reflect a broader push across financial markets to reduce friction in settlement and collateral movements, particularly as institutions test tokenised assets and newer forms of transaction infrastructure. Firms in this segment are trying to show that digital processes can support established market structures while fitting within legal and operational requirements.
For Tokenovate, the commercial challenge now is turning technical demonstrations and market interest into signed client relationships. That makes the Chief Revenue Officer role particularly important in a capital markets fintech environment defined by long sales cycles, demanding integrations and close scrutiny from large financial institutions.
Richard Baker, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Tokenovate, said: "We are delighted to welcome William to Tokenovate at such an important point in our growth. We have built strong foundations across our technology, partnerships and market proposition, and William brings exactly the experience we need as we scale the business. He has a strong track record of helping grow a capital markets technology company, building senior industry relationships and converting market opportunity into commercial success. I'm really excited to have him on the team as we broaden adoption of our platform, deepen engagement with the market and reach new clients."
L'Heveder's background suggests Tokenovate is seeking an executive who can bridge product, strategy and client engagement in a specialised market. Revenue roles at financial technology companies serving capital markets often extend beyond sales targets to partnership building and educating prospective users, particularly when products require changes to post-trade workflows.
Market focus
Tokenovate operates in an area of finance that has drawn sustained attention from incumbents, start-ups and market utilities. Post-trade systems remain fragmented across many asset classes, and efforts to standardise data and automate legal and operational steps have been a recurring theme in digital market infrastructure projects.
The company's use of the Common Domain Model is notable because it has been promoted as a standard way to represent financial products, trades and lifecycle events. Supporters argue that shared data standards can reduce reconciliation work between firms and make automation easier to implement across market participants.
L'Heveder said his experience scaling a capital markets technology company would be relevant in the new role. "Tokenovate has built strong momentum and is becoming a key player in shaping the future of wholesale digital markets, both in the UK and globally. I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the team. Having experienced first-hand what it takes to scale a capital markets technology business, I'm looking forward to bringing that experience to Tokenovate, strengthening existing relationships, opening new opportunities and winning new clients as we drive broader institutional adoption of our post-trade workflows and programmable settlement solutions, including Novat."
