LogicMonitor has made its Edwin AI software and digital experience monitoring standard across all three tiers of its platform, bringing the products under a single licensing model.

The change applies to its Essentials, Advanced and Signature packages, and includes LogicMonitor Digital Experience features such as Synthetics and Internet Sonar alongside Edwin AI. Usage allowances will scale by tier through AI Credits, Synthetics Points and storage limits.

The announcement comes as technology buyers review how many monitoring and observability tools they use across infrastructure, cloud services and online applications. Earlier LogicMonitor research found that 97% of UK IT leaders would consider consolidating onto a single observability platform if it met their needs, while 46% cited cost as the biggest challenge with their existing monitoring tools.

LogicMonitor is positioning the packaging change as a response to that demand by including AI-assisted incident investigation and digital experience visibility in its standard offers rather than selling them separately. Edwin AI is designed to connect related IT alerts and help engineers investigate and resolve incidents.

Three tiers

Under the revised structure, Essentials includes 20 AI Credits and 100 Synthetics Points per Hybrid Unit, with 120 days of Synthetics storage. Advanced includes 75 AI Credits and 250 Synthetics Points per Hybrid Unit, with 13 months of Synthetics storage. Signature includes 150 AI Credits and 500 Synthetics Points per Hybrid Unit, with three years of Synthetics storage.

Edwin AI's event intelligence, automation, AI agents and Model Context Protocol access all draw from a single AI Credit allowance. Digital experience monitoring is now included in every tier, giving customers visibility into online services and internet health under the same commercial structure.

The updated packaging builds on a pricing framework launched in 2025 around what LogicMonitor calls Hybrid Units. The units are intended to give customers a single way to measure monitoring across changing IT estates, including on-premises infrastructure, cloud environments and other digital systems.

LogicMonitor says it has sold more than 826,000 Hybrid Units since launch. It also says more than 90% of new customers this year have chosen platform pricing, including enterprise customers and managed service providers.

Consolidation pressure

The change reflects a wider shift in the observability and IT operations market as suppliers try to simplify pricing and fold AI tools into core subscriptions. Many IT teams have added specialist tools over time for infrastructure monitoring, user experience, network visibility and automation, leaving overlapping products, separate contracts and fragmented operational data.

Against that backdrop, vendors have increasingly argued that a single operating view is more useful than separate dashboards and point products. Buyers, meanwhile, have been weighing whether AI tools can move beyond trials and produce measurable operational value in daily work.

For LogicMonitor, the commercial question is whether bundling AI and digital experience monitoring into standard platform tiers makes adoption easier for existing customers and simpler for new ones. It also narrows the distinction between basic monitoring and more advanced incident analysis by making those functions part of the base package structure.

In practical terms, the offer is intended to link the online experience of end users with the underlying signals generated by applications, infrastructure and network paths. That can matter when IT teams are trying to identify whether a disruption stems from internal systems, external internet conditions or a third-party service dependency.

Garth Fort, Chief Product Officer at LogicMonitor, said the change reflects the company's view of how observability tools should be delivered. "IT teams don't need more separate observability tools with AI bolted on; they need a connected operating model," Fort said. "Every package now brings LogicMonitor Envision, Digital Experience and Edwin AI together, with included allowances that scale by tier, so teams can start with connected visibility and advance toward governed automation at their own pace, with people in control."
