Logicalis has reported progress on its responsible business strategy in its FY26 report, with updates on emissions, employee training and community investment.

The technology services group cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 34 per cent from its FY22 baseline and by 26 per cent year on year. Renewable electricity usage rose to 42 per cent from 22 per cent in FY25.

It maintained carbon-neutral operations for a second consecutive year. Logicalis also said 77 per cent of suppliers by spend now have science-based targets, as it works towards a goal of 85 per cent by FY28.

Its environmental strategy remains aligned with science-based targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. Longer-term goals include a 50 per cent reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY30 and net-zero emissions across the value chain by FY50.

Alongside its environmental measures, Logicalis highlighted investment in workforce development. It said 95 per cent of employees were actively using its Logicalis Learning Space platform, while staff achieved more than 7,150 technical certifications across cloud, data, AI, networking and security.

The learning system was rolled out across the business during the year as part of its employee training programme. Logicalis said the uptake reflected its focus on continuous learning.

Community spending also increased, with USD $352,000 invested in community projects and charitable initiatives during FY26, up 51.7 per cent on the previous year.

That funding supported 19 community projects worldwide focused on STEM education and diversity in technology. Logicalis positioned the work as part of a broader social impact agenda alongside its inclusion efforts.

Bob Bailkoski, Chief Executive Officer of Logicalis, linked the programme to wider business performance.

"Responsible business is not separate from business success. It is how organisations build resilience in an increasingly complex world. Technology continues to create opportunities for growth and innovation, but the organisations best positioned to succeed are those that innovate responsibly, invest in their people, contribute positively to society and demonstrate environmental stewardship. Our FY26 results show meaningful progress against our climate commitments, alongside continued investment in our people and the communities we serve," Bailkoski said.

ESG priorities

The report brings together the company's environmental, social and governance priorities at a time when corporate buyers are placing greater scrutiny on suppliers' climate and workforce records. Technology service providers are under pressure to show progress not only in their own operations but also across supply chains and employee development.

Logicalis operates in 30 territories and supports more than 10,000 clients, giving its sustainability and training measures a broad operational footprint. The group reports annualised revenue of USD $1.7 billion.

Nick Zinzan, Head of ESG at Logicalis International and parent company Datatec, said the latest figures showed how the company was approaching those objectives.

"Responsible business is ultimately about creating long-term value. Our progress in FY26 demonstrates that sustainability can be both ambitious and practical when it is embedded into business strategy. By focusing on reducing emissions, increasing renewable energy adoption, engaging suppliers and investing in skills, we are building a stronger and more resilient business. At the same time, our continued investment in communities and inclusion is helping create positive outcomes for customers, colleagues, partners and society," Zinzan said.

The supplier target is likely to remain a key measure of progress as indirect emissions and procurement standards become more material to large organisations and their customers. Its FY28 goal of having 85 per cent of suppliers by spend covered by science-based targets points to a stronger focus on emissions beyond direct operations.

For staff, the completion of the learning platform rollout gives Logicalis a formal structure for training across a geographically dispersed workforce. The total of more than 7,150 technical certifications indicates continued investment in skills tied to major areas of client demand, including AI, security, networking, cloud and data.

The FY26 figures also show that social investment remains a smaller but growing part of the programme in financial terms. With USD $352,000 allocated to projects and charities, the company recorded one of its sharpest percentage increases in community spending during the year.
