Kore.ai has appointed Uma Sandilya as Chief Commercial Officer and Rajavardhan Nalluri as Chief Customer Operations Officer.

The changes bring sales, marketing and strategy under one executive and create a customer operations role that reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Raj Koneru.

Sandilya will oversee the company's global sales organisation, including teams in the Americas and international markets, as well as growth, marketing and corporate strategy. He joined Kore.ai as Chief Growth Officer and previously worked at C3.ai and McKinsey.

Nalluri, who has spent more than 11 years at Kore.ai, will lead forward-deployed engineering, customer support, cloud operations and infrastructure. The role is intended to tighten customer delivery as more businesses move artificial intelligence agents from pilot projects into wider deployment.

The appointments come as software suppliers adapt to changing buying patterns in corporate AI. Purchasing decisions are shifting from individual departments to Chief Information Officers and increasingly covering the full lifecycle of AI agents rather than single tools.

That shift helps explain why Kore.ai has combined its commercial functions under one leader. It has also added a senior role focused on implementation and support as customers pay closer attention to governance, oversight and reliability.

Raj Koneru outlined the rationale for the reorganisation.

"Enterprise AI is entering its third wave, where governance, observability, and trust define success at scale," said Raj Koneru, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kore.ai.

"The next phase of our growth requires a commercial organization built the way we built our platform: one foundation with one accountable owner. Uma has shaped our commercial engine since the day he joined, and he is the right leader to run it end to end," Koneru said.

Platform push

Kore.ai is trying to strengthen its position in a crowded enterprise AI market. The company recently launched the Artemis edition of its agent platform, which it describes as a system for building, deploying, managing and optimising AI agents with governance controls set before deployment.

It also said Gartner named it a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Conversational AI Platforms for two consecutive years. Kore.ai also cited Forrester Leader rankings across cognitive search, customer service and employee service categories.

The company said its platform handles more than 11 billion interactions a year and has supported more than 500 large enterprises worldwide. Those figures provide context for the management changes as Kore.ai seeks larger, broader AI programmes inside corporate customers.

Sandilya said customers are increasingly focused on how quickly they can get results from AI agents once systems are deployed.

"Every enterprise I've sat across the table from this year has asked the same question: how do we accelerate time to value from agent deployments? What sets Artemis apart is that it's built for what comes after the first ten agents - the governance, the observability, the reliability enterprises need to scale," said Uma Sandilya, Chief Commercial Officer, Kore.ai.

"My focus is to bring Artemis to more of the market through a unified growth, sales, and marketing engine, and deliver tangible business outcomes for our customers," Sandilya said.

Customer focus

Nalluri's appointment adds weight to the operational side of the business. By placing customer-facing engineering teams alongside support and infrastructure under one executive, Kore.ai appears to be trying to reduce friction between product delivery and ongoing service.

The company also said it had expanded its integrated demand generation organisation under Chief Marketing Officer Peter Mullen. That move sits alongside the broader commercial redesign led by Sandilya.

Kore.ai argues that many rivals offer either tools to create agents or control layers added later, while its platform combines creation, deployment and governance in one system. Whether that distinction resonates with large buyers may depend less on product claims than on execution, making the sales and customer operations appointments notable.

After more than a decade at the company, Nalluri now takes responsibility for the teams expected to turn those sales into working deployments across customer environments, partner channels and cloud infrastructure.
