Squarespace has partnered with Titan to offer professional email to its customers, targeting entrepreneurs and small businesses that use the website builder.

The partnership brings Essential Email by Titan to Squarespace users with a domain purchased through or connected to the platform. The product includes an inbox, calendar and contacts, and is available on desktop and mobile apps from $3 per user per month.

Squarespace said the addition allows customers to register a domain, create a branded email address and build a website within the same service. Titan said the offer is aimed at smaller businesses that want a business email address linked to their own domain rather than a consumer email account.

It is initially available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada, with a wider international rollout planned.

The deal expands Titan's distribution through third-party platforms used by smaller firms to establish an online presence. Its service is already distributed through domain registrars, web hosting providers and website builders, and is available through partners to more than 40% of new domain names registered worldwide.

For Squarespace, the move adds email to a product set that already includes websites, domains, eCommerce, payments, marketing tools and appointment scheduling through Acuity. The company says it serves millions of customers across more than 200 countries and territories.

Small business focus

The companies framed the launch around early-stage business formation and the need for simple setup. A branded email address is often one of the first operational tools a sole trader or small company adopts after registering a domain name and launching a website.

Kevin Doerr, President of Squarespace, said the product is intended to sit alongside the company's core website and domain services. "A professional email address is one of the first things that makes an idea feel real. With Essential Email by Titan, entrepreneurs can put their brand front and center from their very first email, right alongside everything they're already building with Squarespace," Doerr said.

Titan positioned the product against email systems it says were designed with larger organisations in mind. Founded in 2018 by Bhavin Turakhia, the company has focused on selling business email through channel partners rather than directly to end users.

"Most email platforms were built for large enterprises, not small businesses, whereas Titan is built from the ground up for small businesses - a founder with an idea, and small teams getting started," said Bhavin Turakhia, Founder and CEO of Titan. "Titan is simple to use, affordable to keep, and made for how small businesses actually work. Millions of entrepreneurs already run their business email on Titan, and with Squarespace, we're bringing that to millions more as they start their businesses."

The product is available to customers using their own domain on Squarespace, tying the service closely to the platform's domain and site-building tools. That may appeal to businesses seeking a single supplier for basic digital operations rather than separate providers for web hosting, domain registration and email.

Bundled services

The launch also reflects a broader trend among website and commerce platforms to bundle more business functions into one subscription environment. For early-stage businesses, email remains a core communication tool for customer contact, invoicing, booking confirmations and supplier management, despite the growth of messaging apps and social channels.

Ninad Raval, Head of Product and Strategy at Titan, said the aim is to reduce setup work for business owners. "Business owners should spend their time focused on customers, not setting up email. With Titan, they get all the tools they need working together from day one," Raval said.

The pricing places the service at the lower end of paid business email offers, reflecting the companies' focus on sole traders, founders and small teams. In practical terms, the partnership gives Squarespace a built-in email option and gives Titan access to a large installed base of website customers looking to launch or formalise a business identity online.
