DoiT acquires PerfectScale for Kubernetes optimisation

Yesterday

DoiT has announced its acquisition of the Kubernetes optimisation and governance platform PerfectScale.

With this acquisition, DoiT aims to provide its customers with enhanced capabilities to manage, secure, and optimise containerised workloads on Kubernetes platforms efficiently and resiliently on a large scale.

PerfectScale's solutions focus on autonomous and proactive resource optimisation specifically for Kubernetes workloads. This is particularly significant as the need for optimisation strengthens due to the proliferation of containerised workloads on Kubernetes and the increasing presence of LLMs/GenAI workloads. As organisations aim to optimise their cloud economics, the emphasis on balancing system performance and reliability with cost-effectiveness has become increasingly pronounced. The shared commitment of DoiT and PerfectScale to operational excellence and FinOps underlines that these outcomes are equally vital for organisations striving for scalability.

"While the application ecosystem keeps shifting, Kubernetes remains at the heart of infrastructure environments," said Vadim Solovey, CEO of DoiT. "We reviewed the landscape of Kubernetes observability and automation platforms closely and PerfectScale had the best combination of capabilities, market timing and value. PerfectScale is modern, incredibly well-built, has amazing user experience and simplifies Kubernetes operations, optimising cost while promoting more performant and resilient environments."

PerfectScale's platform autonomously optimises Kubernetes environments for peak performance while keeping costs low. The platform enhances visibility and resource governance by offering data-driven insights to safely eliminate resource waste and ensure applications maintain the necessary compute resources to meet demand. This process contributes to simplifying ongoing day-two Kubernetes operations.

"From day one, our goal at PerfectScale has been to deliver the most advanced Kubernetes optimisation and governance solution on the market," said Amir Banet, CEO & Co-founder of PerfectScale. "By combining our two solutions, we're addressing the critical intersection of Kubernetes optimisation and FinOps—a challenge faced by almost every modern organisation yet underserved by existing solutions."

Both companies intend to pursue their strategic goals over the coming year, leveraging each other's strengths. For DoiT, this entails further investment in feature enhancements and service capabilities. PerfectScale will centre its focus on delivering advanced optimisation capabilities across the Kubernetes stack, including GPU, storage, and networking domains.

"PerfectScale automation is a game changer for Kubernetes workload optimisation," stated Oren Ashkenazy, Director of DevOps and Cloud at Fiverr. "The focus on reliability, mixed with the system's flexibility, helps us safely optimise our Amazon EKS workloads with zero-touch from our engineers. With PerfectScale joining DoiT, we see a combination that will help us further support our business goals in relation to service reliability and TCO."

The acquisition of PerfectScale marks a significant step in DoiT's agenda, especially with its recent acquisition of LiveDiagrams, further signifying a pivotal year for growth. PerfectScale will maintain its independent operations and be available as an add-on for DoiT Cloud Intelligence customers. The move aligns with DoiT's strategy to solidify its standing in the next-generation FinOps market.
