FYI, this story is more than a year old

Cylera, a global specialist in healthcare IoT device cybersecurity with offices in the UK, in the South-West, has been shortlisted for Healthtech Business of the Year at the National Go:Tech Awards.

Now in its fifth year, the Go:Tech Awards recognise the achievements of UK's tech pioneers and innovators. It celebrates excellence and embraces innovation across all categories of the technology industry, from start-ups to market leading healthtech and fintech organisations, as well as the UK's leading technology entrepreneurs.

The Healthtech Business of the Year category highlights the success of companies leading the way in the medical space, rewarding innovations that positively impact the sector and enhance patient care, as well as showcasing businesses that have delivered exceptional channel growth.

Founded in 2017, Cylera, is an agentless medical and healthcare IoT device (IoMT) cybersecurity and intelligence platform which automates the entire process of managing and securing connected devices.

Following months of extensive research, prototyping, and testing, in April this year, the company launched its new Cylera Command Platform User Interface so users can distil complex layers of data into a single-view, making it more straightforward to identify assets, analyse risk, and profile and improve medical device management, the company states.

Headquartered in New York, the company launched into two new territories in the last 12 months including Madrid, Spain, as well as in Cheltenham in the UK.

It supports global healthcare organisations including a rapidly increasing number of the UKs NHS Trusts, with revenues increasing 300% year on year since 2021. Its global team of experts has also grown by 30% over this time.

On the award shortlisting Co-Founder and CEO at Cylera, Timur Ozekcin, says, "We're delighted to be named as a finalist in the Healthtech Business of the Year category at the Go:Tech Awards. We've always taken the time to ensure that our platform grows with the needs of the organisations and businesses that our technologies support and protect.

"The healthcare sector continues to be a prime target for cyber criminals around the world who look to exploit vulnerabilities in essential digital tools and equipment being used by medical professionals to care for patients. Hospital networks will also grow in complexity over the next couple of years as tens of thousands of more medical devices come online which are essential to patient care."

Timur continues, "Our aim is to continually modify our support and technologies to the evolving medical landscape. This nomination highlights that we are on the right course and taking the best actions to ensure that we are continuing to help the medical sector carry out their vital work."

The Go:Tech Awards evening is taking place on the 22nd June 2023 at the Hilton Bankside in London.
