Bitzero adds Vertiv to data centre partner network

Bitzero has announced a collaboration with Vertiv, adding another supplier to its data centre partner network.

Vertiv will contribute expertise in critical power, thermal management and infrastructure deployment for Bitzero's AI, high-performance computing and hyperscale data centre projects.

Bitzero, which is listed on Nasdaq, the Canadian Securities Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, said the arrangement broadens its pool of technical, engineering and supply chain partners as it develops what it describes as next-generation data centre infrastructure.

Growing demands

The move comes as operators of AI and high-performance computing facilities face growing demands for electricity supply, heat removal and delivery speed. Higher rack densities and more intensive workloads have increased pressure on developers to secure specialist cooling and power systems early in the build process.

Vertiv's role is expected to focus on the systems that support these environments, including liquid cooling design and engineering for installations where traditional air cooling may be insufficient. The company also brings experience in modular infrastructure and large-scale digital infrastructure deployment.

For Bitzero, the collaboration extends a strategy of assembling external providers across design, execution and supply chain functions rather than relying on a single in-house delivery model. It is building a broader ecosystem to support expansion across hyperscale, AI and high-performance computing workloads.

Broader ecosystem

Bitzero says it owns four data centre locations across North America and the Nordic region. Its Nordic assets are supplied by low-carbon energy sources, which it has previously highlighted as part of its infrastructure proposition.

The deal also underlines how data centre developers are seeking closer relationships with equipment and infrastructure specialists as project timelines tighten. Access to established vendors with experience in power and cooling can affect construction schedules and the ability to meet customer requirements for dense compute deployments.

Power and cooling

Vertiv operates in more than 130 countries and supplies power, cooling and IT infrastructure to data centres, communications networks and industrial sites. Its addition to Bitzero's supplier base highlights the importance of established infrastructure companies in the current wave of AI-led data centre expansion.
