Zoho has launched a low-code IoT platform designed to offer pre-built vertical solutions that enhance business efficiency and customer experience. The new platform, known as Zoho IoT, supports a range of applications, including Industrial IoT, Smart Buildings, Remote Monitoring, and Connected OEM verticals.
Zoho stated that the platform's user-friendly interface allows businesses to develop and deploy custom IoT solutions. It offers real-time data collection and management, facilitating intelligent insights and streamlined operational analysis. Organisations can automate processes and make data-driven decisions without requiring extensive technical expertise.
The platform can be tailored to fit specific industry needs and integrated with various existing infrastructures. Its compatibility with third-party hardware ensures a seamless integration into current systems, allowing businesses to scale rapidly. Zoho IoT also incorporates robust security measures designed to ensure data privacy and compliance with global standards.
Jason Bloomberg, Managing Director of analyst firm Intellyx, highlighted the benefits of the new platform. "The Zoho IoT platform connects a wide range of IoT devices through a cloud-based system that provides robust data integration, orchestration, and visualisation capabilities—turning IoT solutions into virtual twins," said Bloomberg. "Leveraging Zoho's low-code and AI features, customers can develop customised digital twin solutions for complex environments like factories and office buildings, unlocking cost savings and business agility."
Advanced AI capabilities are also a significant feature of Zoho IoT. The platform allows business users to create powerful custom solutions more efficiently. Through these AI functionalities, businesses can transform data into actionable insights, predict system outages, identify anomalies, forecast trends, optimise operations, and improve customer experiences.
"We believe that connecting Things with business workflows is key to creating a seamless customer experience," said Sachin Agrawal, Managing Director of Zoho UK. "Zoho IoT is a platform-first solution, designed to offer customisable and flexible features for a range of industries. With its low-code, interoperable, and secure framework, Zoho IoT simplifies adoption while delivering powerful functionality that elevates operational efficiency and customer experience beyond standard offerings."
Zoho IoT includes four industry-specific solutions: Industrial IoT, Smart Buildings, Energy Management, and Connected OEMs. Each of these vertical solutions is designed to meet specific business requirements. The Industrial IoT solution optimises shop floor productivity, increases machine uptime, and reduces maintenance costs for high-value assets. The Smart Buildings solution provides a unified system for monitoring assets, tenants, energy, and facilities. The Energy Management solution enables efficient planning and control over energy consumption. In contrast, the Connected OEMs solution aims to unlock new revenue streams and enable real-time insights and remote monitoring for smart products.
In addition to these primary solutions, Zoho IoT also offers targeted point solutions, such as temperature monitoring, indoor air quality tracking, vehicle tracking, solar monitoring, and water level/leakage detection, among others.
Mike Tanyi, Director of Marketing and IT at SHARC Energy, praised the platform for its capabilities. "As a global leader in wastewater energy for sustainable heating and cooling, we needed to empirically demonstrate its real-world impact across multiple customer installations," said Tanyi. "Zoho IoT provided an enterprise-grade 'single pane of glass' that tracks energy and carbon savings, temperature, pressure, and flow rates, along with automated alerts. This has enabled us to showcase the value of wastewater energy to our stakeholders properly."
Pricing for Zoho IoT is structured on a flexible, pay-as-you-grow model. Plans start at GBP £39 for up to 25 devices, scaling to GBP £399 for up to 500 devices. The platform also supports thousands of devices and billions of data points, catering to various business sizes and requirements.
