XTIUM launches direct operations in Europe to expand IT services

Thu, 3rd Jul 2025

XTIUM has announced the commencement of its direct operations in Europe, expanding its managed IT services to customers under its brand across the region.

The company, which combined ATSG and Evolve IP earlier in the year, will now offer its full suite of managed IT services to businesses within the EMEA region. The expansion has established Rotterdam as XTIUM's EMEA headquarters, supporting customers across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the UK, and additional European markets.

European footprint

XTIUM's move consolidates its European presence, building on a legacy dating back to the founding of Mtel in Rotterdam in 1999 and continuing through its 2017 acquisition by Evolve IP. The transition from delivering primarily cloud communications to operating as a managed services provider will introduce additional services, including cybersecurity solutions and Desktop as a Service (DaaS), in 2025. Further additions, such as network management and managed help desk solutions, are scheduled to follow in 2026.

Russ Reeder, President & CEO of XTIUM, explained the rationale behind the expansion.

"This demonstrates our commitment to serving multinational enterprise customers as a truly global MSP. By establishing direct operations in Europe, we're delivering on our promise to provide integrated, security-first managed services that enable organizations to focus on innovation and growth, regardless of their geographic location."

Expanded services for existing customers

European customers who previously engaged with Evolve IP for unified communications and contact centre services will now be able to access the extended XTIUM offering. The broadened portfolio is designed to support companies' increasing need for integrated IT services beyond traditional communications solutions.

Addressing integrated IT needs

Leon Schuurmans, Managing Director of XTIUM EMEA, will be leading the European operations from the newly designated headquarters in Rotterdam. The local team currently comprises 35 professionals who serve more than 100 direct customers, with client sizes ranging from 100 to 3,500 employees across various sectors, including healthcare, financial services, retail, and business services.

Schuurmans highlighted market trends and customer expectations:

"Research shows that customers want a single provider for all of their services. What we see is that communication services and IT services are becoming more and more integrated, and we are now able to facilitate those complete requirements. This evolution from a communications provider to a comprehensive MSP allows us to deliver the unified technology solutions our European customers need to stay competitive."

Growth and continuity

XTIUM reports combined annual revenue exceeding USD $230 million and says it serves over 950,000 end-users through 1,700 global customers. The European team comprises around 70 staff, divided between direct service delivery roles and shared support, which the company says will provide the necessary expertise for the growing portfolio.

According to the company, service levels, pricing, and support for existing European customers will remain unchanged for the time being. The expanded set of IT capabilities will be gradually introduced over 2025 and 2026.

XTIUM continues to deliver managed IT services across North America, Europe, and Asia, integrating global reach with the ability to provide regional support to its customers.
