Vultr expands cloud platform to support Agentic AI growth
Vultr has announced the expansion of its cloud platform to accommodate Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure, fortifying its position in digital transformation efforts for enterprises.
Gartner predicts that by 2028, 33% of enterprise software applications will include Agentic AI, a significant increase from less than 1% in 2024. This surge in adoption is projected to enable 15% of work decisions to be autonomously made. However, the adoption of Agentic AI requires a cloud architecture that balances latency, security, and computational power. Vultr's benchmarking with Console Connect shows a lower latency of 74.5 ms compared to AWS's 83 ms, highlighting its competitive edge.
Vultr's new offerings include rapid deployment options across more than 32 global data centre regions, customisable IoT solutions, predictable pricing structures, and private networking for secure operations. These features are intended to provide enterprises with a scalable and cost-effective solution to unlock IoT potential.
Cloud Alliance partnerships further strengthen Vultr's position. Collaborations with Console Connect enable private high-speed networking, while SQream offers high-performance analytics support. Other partnerships include Qdrant for advanced vector database technology and Gravio for low-code IoT integration, equipping businesses with the necessary tools for real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven automation.
Kevin Cochrane, Chief Marketing Officer of Vultr, highlighted the transition in AI trends stating, "The future of industry is AI, as almost every analyst firm has predicted. While 2024 was the year of generative, 2025 will be the year of Agentic." He added, "Our cloud computing platform was built from the ground up to provide enterprises and sovereign projects with the most secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solution to their needs."
Cochrane explained the crucial role of inferencing in the practical application of Agentic AI, asserting, "Without the power of inferencing, Agentic AI's autonomy is purely theoretical; it's the engine that drives its independent action. Our serverless and cloud inference capabilities combined with our partnership with AMD mean that Vultr is uniquely placed to offer enterprises the architecture, hardware, and platform to make their Agentic ambitions a reality."
Vultr is on a mission to make high-performance cloud infrastructure easy to use, affordable, and locally accessible for enterprises and AI innovators around the world. Vultr is trusted by hundreds of thousands of active customers across 185 countries for its flexible, scalable, global Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage solutions. Founded by David Aninowsky and self-funded for over a decade, Vultr has grown to become the world's largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company.
