Tricentis hires new leaders to drive AI powered growth
Tricentis, a leader in AI-driven software testing and automation, has announced two major additions to its executive leadership team. Jason Bliss joins as EVP and President of Business Operations, while Todd Horst steps into the role of Chief Growth Officer.
The appointments come as the firm continues to scale its operations, providing automated quality engineering tools to organisations managing complex, large-scale software estates.
Tricentis said Bliss will take responsibility for post-sales functions. Those functions include customer growth, professional services, customer support, international operations and mergers and acquisitions.
Horst will lead the company's growth agenda. His remit covers global go-to-market strategy and strategic partnerships. Tricentis also linked the role to the use of AI in internal operations.
Growth backdrop
Tricentis has reported a run of growth milestones in recent periods. It has cited an annual recurring revenue figure of USD $400 million and a USD $1.33 billion investment from GTCR.
The company has also pointed to recognition in industry analyst research. It referenced The Forrester Wave coverage of autonomous testing platforms and Gartner's Magic Quadrant work on AI-augmented software testing tools.
Tricentis has bolstered its executive ranks with two strategic appointments, as the company prepares for a new era of AI-accelerated software delivery. Jason Bliss has been named EVP and President of Business Operations, and Todd Horst joins as Chief Growth Officer.
The firm, which specialises in AI-powered test automation, noted that the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into development cycles has significantly increased the speed at which organisations must deliver software. These leadership changes are designed to ensure Tricentis can scale alongside this shifting market.
"Ambitious plans require ambitious leaders, and Jason and Todd each bring exceptional leadership experience and a proven ability to drive growth and operational excellence," said Kevin Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, Tricentis.
Operations remit
Bliss joins from SolarWinds, where he spent more than 17 years. He most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer at the infrastructure software business. Tricentis said he was responsible for driving growth, value creation and risk management.
At Tricentis, Bliss will oversee teams that sit beyond initial sales. These groups typically manage renewals, service delivery and ongoing account engagement. Tricentis also placed international operations under the same remit, alongside corporate development work on mergers and acquisitions.
"Tricentis has built a powerful platform and strong customer relationships, and I'm excited to help strengthen the operational foundation that supports continued growth," said Bliss.
"This year will prove to be pivotal for software development and quality testing, and I look forward to working with teams across the company to ensure our customers are successful in that journey," said Bliss.
Commercial focus
Horst joins after five years as a Partner at McKinsey & Company. Tricentis said he advised CEOs and Chief Revenue Officers on go-to-market strategy, sales acceleration and digital transformations.
Before McKinsey, Horst served as Chief Revenue Officer at Outtask and Consilio, according to Tricentis. The company said he has experience in growth strategy, enterprise sales, channel management and revenue operations.
Tricentis said Horst will craft and execute its global go-to-market strategy. It also said he will work on growth through strategic partnerships.
In its announcement, Tricentis also described a role for AI in improving efficiency and productivity. The company did not provide detail on specific internal programmes or timelines.
"Tricentis is a recognized leader in Software Quality Engineering, and our AI solutions are at the forefront of innovation. It's never been more important to deliver differentiated experiences to our customers and partners, and I am excited to work with our exceptional team to enable our organization to operate with greater customer focus, and build the foundation for scale," said Horst.
Tricentis said the appointments form part of preparations for its next phase of growth. "With the addition of Jason and Todd, we are strengthening our structure and operational excellence to support Tricentis' next phase of growth and deliver greater value to customers worldwide," said Thompson.
Tricentis has appointed Jason Bliss as EVP and President of Business Operations and Todd Horst as Chief Growth Officer, bolstering its leadership team as the company adapts to a market increasingly defined by AI-driven development.
The firm, which develops AI-powered software testing and automation tools, stated that the appointments are central to its strategy for scaling operations and refining its go-to-market efforts. Both Bliss and Horst will play pivotal roles in expanding the company's global footprint.
