Teciem has appointed Stefano Maestri as Chief Technology Officer and Strath Lanyon as Chief Customer Officer. Both will be based in London and report to Chief Executive Officer Wissam Khoury.

The appointments add two C-level roles to the leadership team at the financial services technology company, which sells treasury and capital markets software to banks and other institutions. The changes come as financial institutions seek newer systems that can be deployed more quickly and updated more regularly.

Maestri will oversee global engineering and platform strategy, including product development, cloud transition work and the use of artificial intelligence across Teciem's software. He will also be responsible for resilience, security and scale.

Lanyon will lead customer success operations, covering client relationships, software adoption and work with customers on system modernisation programmes across treasury, capital markets, regulatory technology and data automation.

The moves follow Teciem's launch earlier this year as it builds out its executive team. The hires are part of a longer-term plan focused on technology investment, product development and customer retention.

Teciem serves more than 340 financial institutions and their subsidiaries worldwide, including a majority of the top 100 global banks, according to the company. Its software brands include Kondor, Summit, Opics, Sophis, Sophis Invest and Arc.

The company operates in a market where banks are reassessing legacy treasury and capital markets systems in response to pressure for operational efficiency and more flexible infrastructure. Suppliers across the sector are pushing cloud-based delivery and newer data tools as institutions update trading lifecycle and risk management platforms.

Khoury said the appointments are intended to support that agenda as Teciem expands following its formation. He linked the hires to efforts to reshape the company's product and customer strategy.

"Following the launch of Teciem just over six months ago, we are continuing to grow our leadership team and reshape the future of treasury and capital markets technology. Stefano and Strath bring exceptional experience in technology innovation, cloud transformation, customer success and operational excellence. Their appointments reflect our commitment to helping clients modernize faster, realize greater value from their technology investments, and benefit from the next generation of AI-enabled solutions. We are delighted to welcome them both to Teciem as we continue our strategic transformation and strengthen our position as the partner of choice for financial institutions worldwide," said Wissam Khoury, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of Teciem.

Maestri joins with experience in financial services technology and software businesses, including mission-critical systems, platform transformation and global engineering leadership, according to the company. His appointment puts technology execution and product architecture under a single senior executive as Teciem develops its software portfolio.

Lanyon brings more than 20 years of experience in IP-led and services-led businesses across capital markets, regulatory technology and data automation, according to the company. His role gives customer operations direct representation at executive level as clients undertake large-scale technology change projects.

Market focus

Teciem describes itself as a front-to-back treasury and capital markets software provider, covering trading lifecycle and risk management across asset classes and markets. That places it in a competitive segment where vendors are under pressure to demonstrate both technical reliability and close customer support during migration and upgrade work.

For banks, treasury and capital markets platforms are central to daily trading, pricing, settlement and risk processes, making executive oversight of product development and customer delivery particularly significant. The addition of a Chief Technology Officer and a Chief Customer Officer suggests Teciem is placing equal emphasis on software development and client execution as it seeks to expand its position with global financial institutions.

According to the company, Maestri will help shape the next generation of its treasury and capital markets technology, while Lanyon will focus on deepening client partnerships and improving adoption. Their experience is also expected to support customers managing increasingly complex transformation programmes.
