Socomec unveils DELPHYS XM UPS for UK & Ireland markets

Thu, 10th Apr 2025

Socomec has announced the availability of DELPHYS XM, a new UPS system, for data centres and critical infrastructure in the UK and Ireland.

DELPHYS XM is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system with a range from 300 to 800 kVA/kW. It aims to address the increased demand for power and spatial efficiency, particularly in the UK and Irish data centre markets. The system reportedly delivers 1MW in just 1 square metre, reducing the average footprint required by 50% and maximising available operational space.

The UPS system achieves high energy efficiency, attaining up to 99% efficiency in Smart Conversion mode and 97.1% in online double conversion mode. This increased efficiency contributes to lowering operational costs and energy consumption and reducing cooling requirements. As a result, it is estimated to save up to 42 tons of CO2 emissions.

Valentino Formentin, Product Creation Leader at Socomec, stated, "DELPHYS XM represents a significant leap forward in power management technology. It has the ability to maximise overall performance and generate wider benefits, guaranteeing uptime and superior resiliency. We know that this synergy will provide tangible value to our customers, positioning them to deliver their best possible performance, even in the most demanding settings. DELPHYS XM makes it easier to achieve elite-level efficiencies than ever before."

DELPHYS XM also claims to address serviceability and resiliency needs with its intuitive 10-inch HMI touchscreen that simplifies monitoring. LED indicators are included to provide clear system status updates. Additionally, the system features real-time remote troubleshooting, immediate fault analysis, and actionable alerts, designed to help operators swiftly address issues and minimise disruptions.

Its modular design includes hot-swappable 100 kW power modules, ensuring maximum uptime. These features are complemented by Socomec's expert service packages, which offer tailored response times and 24/7 support to ensure the system remains resilient and reliable for critical applications.

The availability of DELPHYS XM in the UK and Ireland aims to help data centres and other critical infrastructures enhance their sustainability and operational efficiency.
