HONOR has announced the launch of its new smartphone, the HONOR 400 Lite 5G, which will be available in the UK and Ireland from 22 April 2025.

Touted as a device offering advanced mobile technology, the HONOR 400 Lite 5G comes equipped with a 108MP AI Camera and a unique 'AI Camera Button'. The camera features AI capabilities designed to enhance mobile photography by providing users with intuitive controls. The device also offers a 16MP selfie camera, both of which are supported by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset for fast 5G connectivity and advanced imaging functionality.

CEO of HONOR UK&I, Bond Zhang, expressed the intention behind the release, stating, "The HONOR 400 Lite 5G is equipped with exceptional AI smartphone features at a truly affordable price. Response to our innovative 'AI Camera Button' reveals that it's a huge hit with Android users who seek to elevate their photography skills. This really is an exciting time to discover our industry-leading HONOR AI smartphones as we expand from being a trusted Android smartphone brand into a world-leading AI device ecosystem company."

The HONOR 400 Lite 5G includes several notable hardware elements. Its 6.7-inch AMOLED display showcases a 120Hz refresh rate and achieves a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio, delivering vibrant and smooth visuals. The device's brightness capability peaks at 3,500nits, promoting visibility even in bright outdoor settings.

Designed for photography enthusiasts, the new AI Camera Button offers quick access to the camera functionality and Smart Vision (Google Lens). Users can interact seamlessly with their environment, identifying plants, animals, and even translating text through this real-time feature. The Google Gemini Power Button enhances editing capabilities with tools such as AI Eraser and AI Outpainting.

The phone camera's main 108MP sensor, coupled with a 5MP wide and depth sensor, aims to capture high-quality images with features suitable for low-light conditions and portrait photography. Those who prefer selfies can utilise the 16MP front camera that intelligently balances light and shadow for detailed results.

Furthermore, the HONOR 400 Lite 5G focuses on viewer comfort, featuring eye care technologies like 3840Hz PWM Dimming to reduce flicker, and Hardware Low Blue Light Technology to limit blue light exposure, thus aiming to reduce eye strain during extended use.

With a slim, lightweight design, the HONOR 400 Lite 5G is available in Velvet Grey, Velvet Black, and Marrs Green colours. The physical design incorporates durability elements, including SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance Certification.

The device houses a 5230mAh Li-ion polymer battery capable of long-lasting performance and supports 35W HONOR Wired SuperCharge, providing a full charge in approximately 75 minutes. Enhanced storage is another highlight, with the smartphone offering up to 256GB of internal capacity, aided by HONOR RAM Turbo (8GB+8GB).
