Sharp appoints Roland Singer as new VP of IT services Europe

Wed, 11th Sep 2024

Sharp has today announced the appointment of Roland Singer as its new Vice President of IT Services. This development marks a significant phase in Sharp's ongoing efforts to establish and expand its IT services business across Europe, which began in 2021.

Roland joins Sharp with more than 35 years of experience in the IT services industry. He previously led ITpoint Systems AG, a Swiss IT services firm he founded and which was acquired by Sharp in 2021. During his tenure at ITpoint, Roland successfully supported Sharp’s Swiss clients with a suite of integrated solutions and managed services for the workplace.

In his new role, Roland will oversee the strategic expansion of Sharp’s IT Services division in Europe. He aims to maintain the same high level of service and reliability across all markets, solidifying Sharp's status as a major player in the European IT services sector. A significant part of his responsibilities will include ensuring that Sharp’s IT products and services meet the changing demands of clients, and selecting the best IT technologies and solutions to provide maximum value.

"I am thrilled to be taking on this new role at such a key time for Sharp’s IT services business," said Roland Singer. "With the team’s expertise and leadership, I am confident we will become a trusted IT services advisor and partner for our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the IT landscape and make the right choices for their future."

Alexander Hermann, President of Information Services at Sharp Europe, commented, “Sharp’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions remains at the forefront of our strategy. Under Roland’s leadership of our European IT Services business, Sharp will solidify its position as a leading provider in the European IT services market.”
