Semarchy partners with Microsoft Purview for enhanced data integration

Fri, 26th Jul 2024

Semarchy has announced its partnership with Microsoft Purview for master data management (MDM), enhancing its data platform to improve integration capabilities.

This new collaboration seeks to address issues of data fragmentation by providing a unified and accurate view of enterprise data, a move which Semarchy believes will help businesses make more data-driven decisions.

According to Semarchy’s recent research, only 25% of business decisions are truly data-driven. The integration with Microsoft Purview aims to tackle this challenge by offering enhanced data integration, compliance, governance, and accessibility.

One of the key features of this partnership is enhanced data integration. The two systems will enable seamless synchronisation of data across various platforms, aiding in smarter, data-driven decision-making. This will be complemented by end-to-end data lineage capabilities, allowing organisations to trace data from its origin to ensure it meets regulatory requirements such as GDPR or CCPA, thereby reducing risk.

Governance is another critical benefit of this integration. Integrated dashboards will provide real-time monitoring of data quality, helping organisations identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining high data standards. Furthermore, the partnership aims to democratise data access, ensuring that teams can quickly find and trust the data they need, fostering an innovative culture within organisations.

Ben Werth, CEO of Semarchy, highlighted the importance of this integration, saying, “Semarchy's integration with Microsoft delivers on the promise of unified DataOps. By bridging data management and governance, our joint customers can accelerate time to value from their strategic data assets while ensuring the integrity required to power critical business initiatives.”

Karthik Ravindran, General Manager for Data Governance at Microsoft Purview, echoed this sentiment. “Semarchy’s integration with Microsoft Purview offers a dynamic duo for elevating data governance with efficient, collaborative data management. The association of Semarchy with Microsoft Purview empowers enterprise customers to confidently leverage their data assets by expertly controlling and managing how data flows through their landscape. Semarchy provides a high-performance, flexible, and robust platform for master data management in any vertical or domain,” he said.

Key benefits of the integration include complete end-to-end data lineage and visibility by linking logical and physical metadata, enhanced data catalog and discovery capabilities through the infusion of xDM data models, closed-loop governance with integrated dashboards for monitoring data quality and integrity, and the acceleration of data democratisation initiatives through certified, trusted data products.

The newly enhanced Semarchy xDM integration with Microsoft Purview is now available to all Semarchy customers. This development follows Semarchy’s recent recognition as a 2024 Master Data Management Data Quadrant Award champion by Software Reviews, a division of the Info-Tech Research Group. The designation is based on verified customer reviews, positioning Semarchy as a leader in the master data management space.

Semarchy will also participate in Info-Tech Live 2024 in Las Vegas. Prior to this event, the company will host a webinar titled “Master Data Management: The Value for Business Today and in the Future”.
