Seekr has opened its first European office in London, expanding its presence in the UK market.

The Mayfair office includes a local engineering and leadership team to support customers in the UK and across Europe. Demand has been rising among organisations seeking artificial intelligence systems they can govern, audit and operate within their own legal jurisdictions.

The London expansion builds on an existing UK customer base and a growing pipeline of work across defence, FTSE-listed companies and other regulated sectors. It also reflects a broader shift as companies and public bodies move AI tools from trial projects into core operations.

For many of those organisations, questions about where sensitive data is stored, how AI systems reach their answers and what actions automated agents are permitted to take have become central to purchasing decisions. Seekr said its platform is designed to give customers a record of how each output was produced.

Its software can run in UK cloud regions, on customers' premises, at the edge or in fully air-gapped environments. The system traces outputs back through data, content, models and agent behaviour, allowing users to verify responses, monitor agent actions and assess results against business objectives.

To support the expansion, Seekr has appointed Naief Al-Shibli as VP and UK General Manager. He joins from Palantir and will lead sales and growth in the UK, having worked with enterprise and government organisations in the UK and Europe on operational data and AI deployments.

David Church will serve as Managing Director of UK operations. He brings more than 40 years of experience in European investment banking and has advised on data centre transactions across the region.

The London team will also include forward-deployed engineers working within customers' regulated and secure environments. They will help clients deploy AI on their own infrastructure and provide visibility into the data and models behind system outputs.

The local presence is aimed at customers in sectors where regulation, security and data sovereignty are major concerns. In the UK and Europe, sovereignty has become a bigger issue in the commercial AI market as organisations seek to keep data under local laws and maintain clearer oversight of automated decision-making.

Rob Clark, President of Seekr, said the company viewed the UK as an important market for that demand. "The UK is a critical AI market, and demand there for governable, sovereign AI shows no sign of slowing down," Clark said.

"Customers across the UK are already putting AI to work across their core operations, and having dedicated experts sitting side-by-side ensures they are getting the latest sovereign AI they need, all under their control and local laws. Opening in London is our commitment to those customers," he added.

Al-Shibli said customers were seeking practical returns from AI while maintaining oversight. "UK organisations aren't short on AI ambition. The challenge is turning that ambition into measurable results while maintaining trust in the outputs, control over the data and agent actions," he said.

"Having our leadership and engineers here means customers work with a team that understands their regulatory and security requirements, and can help them deploy AI in their own environment from day one, validate its performance and build a clear case for scaling it," Al-Shibli added.
