Morphy Richards enhances supply chain with AI partnership

Yesterday

Morphy Richards has partnered with Slimstock to enhance its supply chain operations with the integration of an AI-powered planning platform.

Morphy Richards, a well-known brand in the British home appliances market, aims to improve supply chain visibility and collaboration with suppliers and customers through this partnership. The company offers a wide range of products from air fryers and kettles to vacuum cleaners, and has been a staple in home convenience for over 80 years. In 2023, Consumer Brands Limited took over as the official licensee for Morphy Richards in the UK.

The brand is focused on boosting operational efficiency and optimising working capital to better meet the needs of a diverse customer base. This collaboration with Slimstock underscores Morphy Richards' commitment to delivering greater value to retailers, online platforms, and the end consumer by enhancing its supply chain planning capabilities.

The move to employ Slimstock's platform comes after success with the same technology at Morphy Richards' sister company, Poole Lighting. Rob Wileman, Managing Director at Morphy Richards, stated, "Through collaborating with Slimstock to apply these best practices at Morphy Richards, this transformation initiative will provide a solid planning foundation to support our ambitious growth objectives."

Nick Cox, Supply Chain Manager at Morphy Richards, remarked on the new system's capabilities: "Slimstock will provide greater visibility into customer level demand, enabling our team to pivot to demand shifts with speed, ensuring the right availability in the right location." The implementation aims to automate routine supply chain processes, thus allowing the team to focus on strategic tasks that add value.

Slimstock's solutions will address inventory management by autonomously calculating the optimal balance for thousands of SKUs, considering factors such as demand changes, service levels, and upcoming promotions. This functionality is expected to reduce stockouts and minimize excess stock.

The partnership marks a significant step in Morphy Richards' digital transformation. Joe Howarth, Supply Chain Specialist at Slimstock, commented, "We are excited to support Morphy Richards as they advance their supply chain operations. Slimstock's platform will not only help them meet the demands of today's competitive marketplace but also position them for success in the years to come."

Slimstock is a company that helps businesses improve their supply chain performance with software and services. The company is focused on helping businesses eliminate waste, boost availability, reduce costs, and mitigate risk.
