Mind taps SnapLogic to modernise charity data stack

Wed, 18th Mar 2026

Mental health charity Mind has partnered with SnapLogic to modernise its data infrastructure and bring integration work in-house. The aim is to improve data quality and governance, and speed up access to information used across fundraising, campaigns and services.

Mind has replaced a set of legacy integration and ETL tools with SnapLogic's platform. The move shifts responsibility for building and managing data pipelines to Mind's internal Data, Digital and Technology team, reducing reliance on third-party managed tools and external developers.

Legacy risks

Previously, Mind used a mix of third-party managed ETL products, some of which were nearing the end of life or had already reached it. Mind said this created operational risk and limited visibility into how data moved between systems.

The previous setup also slowed changes across its systems. Updates often took months, and costs were rising, according to the organisations involved. Internal teams had limited autonomy over integration work and had to fit changes around external schedules.

Mind said the new approach provides full visibility and control over pipelines and enables consistent governance across its customer relationship management system and wider data environment.

More pipelines

Within nine months of adopting SnapLogic, Mind built four times as many active data flows and pipelines as it had previously. It said this shortened delivery timelines and removed dependence on external developers.

Daniel Eels, Data & CRM Projects Lead at Mind, said, "SnapLogic put the power back in our hands. We now have visibility, control, and confidence in our data pipelines. What used to take months and carried constant risk can now be delivered quickly, reliably, and in line with our governance standards. That has a direct impact on how effectively we support our teams, our supporters, and ultimately the people who rely on Mind."

The project reflects a broader push among charities and public-facing organisations to strengthen data governance and reduce reliance on ageing tools. Many also want faster access to usable data, particularly when information is spread across donor platforms, service delivery systems and digital engagement channels.

Operational changes

Mind said improvements in data quality and reliability have reduced time spent on manual data work, freeing staff to focus on supporter engagement and handling enquiries.

Manual processes that previously took days or weeks each month have been automated through SnapLogic pipelines, the organisation said. It also reported better collaboration and clearer ownership of data responsibilities, as well as stronger relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The move also signals a shift in how the charity manages technology change. With integration and pipeline development in-house, Mind's data team can iterate on new requirements without waiting for third parties, while keeping a consistent approach to governance across systems.

AI foundation

Mind is positioning the platform as a standard route for data moving between its applications. SnapLogic said this will provide a foundation for future automation and AI initiatives, including agentic AI.

Nick Pike, GM EMEA at SnapLogic, said, "Non-profits like Mind are under enormous pressure to do more with limited resources. By modernising its integration architecture with SnapLogic, Mind has eliminated hidden risk, accelerated delivery, and created a trusted data foundation that directly supports its mission. This is exactly the kind of impact agentic integration is designed to deliver, especially for organisations where every insight, every response, and every hour matters."

Mind plans to expand its use of SnapLogic to further improve data quality and streamline enterprise processes. It also plans to explore agentic AI features, including intelligent agents for standard workflows and new digital initiatives.
