
Matillion launches Data Productivity Cloud on Snowflake
Matillion has natively launched its Data Productivity Cloud platform on Snowflake Marketplace, allowing joint customers to utilise Matillion's capabilities within the Snowflake ecosystem.
Kieran Kennedy, Global Head, Data Cloud Products at Snowflake, commented on the collaboration, "Matillion's intelligent data integration platform brings a set of capabilities that very naturally complement the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. Matillion and Snowflake collaboration is far bigger than either individual company, and bringing Matillion's technology to Snowflake makes delivering customer value so much easier."
According to Matthew Scullion, Matillion CEO and Co-founder, the platform has seen rapid advancements over the past year. "The past year has seen the Data Productivity Cloud mature and evolve at a spectacular rate, bringing a wealth of AI, data integration and CI/CD features, and capabilities to the platform, with our largest customers racing to migrate onto it. Bringing Data Productivity Cloud to Snowflake Marketplace furthers the joint value proposition of simplicity, trust and connectivity that Matillion and Snowflake share."
Over the past 18 months, Matillion has introduced several AI features, including GenAI capabilities integrated with Snowflake Cortex AI, and provided support for Snowpark Container Services. These features were showcased at the Snowflake Summit 2024.
The company has outlined its vision for moving data integration towards AI-era advancements, and several product launches are anticipated in the coming year following its announcement at the Zero Data Friction event.
Matillion's Data Productivity Cloud will be available in a private preview phase on Snowflake Marketplace from April 2025. Snowflake Marketplace allows companies to explore data and AI possibilities via third-party integrations, easing the procurement of data products while reducing integration costs.
The marketplace aims to enhance customer experience, boost revenue growth, and improve profit margins by facilitating the direct delivery of data, applications, and AI products to customers.
