Lucid Software unveils major AI upgrades to collaboration suite

Thu, 6th Jun 2024

Lucid Software has announced a range of significant AI-driven updates to its Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite, underscoring its commitment to enhancing teamwork and collaboration through advanced technology. The updates include deeper integration with widely-used tools such as Microsoft Copilot and expanded AI capabilities within the company's popular applications, Lucidchart and Lucidspark.

Dan Lawyer, Chief Product Officer of Lucid Software, stated, "Lucid Software continues to lead the way in defining the future of collaboration. These enhancements not only improve our existing suite but ensure that Lucid remains at the forefront, offering unparalleled integration and intelligence across all aspects of visual collaboration.”

Among the newly introduced features is a cutting-edge integration with Microsoft Copilot, which will enable users to seamlessly retrieve Lucid documents and receive AI-generated summaries of these documents. This integration is expected to save users substantial amounts of time and streamline their workflows. For instance, if a team member is unavailable and needs to catch up on a project, they can use Copilot to retrieve relevant Lucid boards or diagrams and get answers to questions based on the AI's understanding of the documents. Future iterations of this feature will include the capability to auto-generate new Lucid diagrams directly within Copilot, which can then be refined and edited in Lucid's powerful visual collaboration environment.

In a move to bolster productivity for diagram creation, Lucid has also introduced AI-powered diagram generation in Lucidchart. Users will now effortlessly create complex diagrams such as flowcharts, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and entity relationship diagrams using simple AI prompts. This functionality allows for rapid visualisation creation by leveraging existing written technical documentation, notes and meeting transcripts. Users can transform concepts into detailed visuals quickly, iterate through text prompts, and refine their diagrams with ease.

Additional enhancements include improved integrations with Slack, allowing users to swiftly summarise Lucid documents directly within Slack channels. This feature aims to enrich mind maps using Collaborative AI, automating routine tasks and enabling teams to focus on solving more critical problems efficiently. By continually embedding AI into various facets of the suite, Lucid aims to empower teams to visualise and build their future with enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Lucid Software's products are widely embraced by top businesses around the world, including Google, GE, and NBC Universal. Furthermore, 99% of Fortune 500 companies are noted to be using Lucid's offerings. The company's collaboration includes valuable partnerships with industry experts such as Google, Atlassian, and Microsoft.
