LMNTRIX appoints Kevin Wright to lead UK growth

LMNTRIX has appointed Kevin Wright as Head of Growth for the UK, expanding the cyber security company's operations in the British market.

Wright will lead direct sales to enterprise and mid-market customers and build a local partner network spanning distributors, resellers, managed service providers and managed security service providers.

He joins LMNTRIX after more than 25 years in managed security roles across the UK and EMEA. Most recently, he led EMEA sales at Trustwave and has also held senior sales positions at NTT Security, Optiv, InteliSecure and SecureData.

LMNTRIX provides managed extended detection and response services, a cyber security segment that combines monitoring, investigation and response across multiple parts of an organisation's technology estate. It supports more than 400 customers and runs Cyber Defence Centres in seven countries.

UK push

The expansion comes as cyber security suppliers compete for customers under growing pressure from boards and regulators to improve incident response and operational resilience. During his career, Wright has worked with companies in financial services, insurance, legal, retail and critical national infrastructure.

LMNTRIX's operating model assumes attackers will breach preventive controls and instead focuses on collecting its own telemetry and responding to threats found behind those controls. Its platform is designed to work alongside customers' existing products, including tools from Microsoft, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne and Palo Alto Networks.

The business combines software across 13 security domains with deception tools, automated investigation and response, and human analysts based in its defence centres. The aim is to resolve incidents rather than simply pass alerts back to customer teams.

Industry analysts have paid increasing attention to managed detection and response providers as organisations struggle with large volumes of security alerts and a shortage of specialist staff. LMNTRIX says it has been included in recent market assessments by IDC and Gartner and is listed among MSSP Alert's Top 250 MSSPs.

Carlo Minassian, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LMNTRIX, linked the appointment to conditions in the local market.

Kevin has spent his career in managed security on the front line of this market; he knows exactly where the gaps are, and he is the right leader to build our UK business with customers and partners.”

Market focus

As part of the build-out, the company is also seeking to recruit channel partners in the UK. It is targeting distributors, resellers, managed service providers and managed security service providers that want to add managed detection and response offerings for customers.

Wright said he chose the role after time away from the industry and argued that customer frustrations with cyber security services have changed little despite shifts in product categories.

“After a deliberate career break, I was very clear about what I wanted to do next and LMNTRIX is it,” said Wright. “I've spent most of my career in managed security, from MSS and SOC services through to MDR and MXDR, and while the market has evolved, the fundamental problems haven't: too many tools, too many alerts, and services that hand work back to stretched security teams instead of resolving it. LMNTRIX's combination of its own technology, Active Defence and agentic AI, backed by high-value human expertise, is genuinely different. The UK market is ready for it.”

LMNTRIX is headquartered in Sydney and says it serves customers in more than 85 countries through a platform covering endpoint, network, cloud, identity, mobile, operational technology and internet of things monitoring. The company also offers external attack-surface monitoring, threat intelligence, user behaviour analytics and full-packet forensics.

The UK expansion reflects the continued importance of the British market for international cyber security providers seeking growth in managed services, particularly as buyers look for outside help to manage increasingly complex security estates and response demands.
