Intelex launches new EHSQ software for smaller firms

Tue, 8th Apr 2025

Intelex has introduced Intelex Essentials, a refined version of its existing environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) management software, aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises.

This new software offering integrates pre-configured safety management solutions tailored for organisations looking for an immediate out-of-the-box solution that integrates best practices aimed at ensuring the safety of personnel.

Robb Kaufmann, Vice President of North America Sales at Intelex, outlined the market gap the company aims to address with Intelex Essentials. He stated: "We recognized a clear need in the market for an EHS solution that combines robust functionality with simplicity and speed of implementation. Intelex Essentials delivers enterprise-grade safety management capabilities without the complexity, allowing smaller organizations to achieve safety outcomes and regulatory compliance faster."

The challenge for many small and medium-sized businesses remains balancing effective safety management within the confines of limited resources, especially when switching from manual to digital systems. Intelex Essentials is designed to address these challenges by facilitating compliance and easing the workload often associated with complex software implementations.

David Lovejoy, EHS Director at Time Manufacturing, shared his experience as a customer of Intelex Essentials. He remarked: "In our journey to digitize our safety program, I was looking for a solution with best practices built in. Intelex Essentials' intuitive onboarding, user interface, and workflows accelerates our time to value."

The Intelex Essentials package primarily focuses on four essential safety applications: Incident Management, Observations, Inspections, and Document Control. These are supported by comprehensive platform and reporting functionalities. A notable feature of this offering is the self-serve Implementation Manager, which aids users during the setup process through embedded videos and easy-to-follow guidelines.

This particular aspect of the solution holds promise for operations leaders who are responsible for EHS tasks but might not necessarily have expertise in safety management. The software's guidance builds confidence in executing safety processes efficiently while the straightforward decision-making process during setup promotes smoother organisational adoption. As a result, Intelex positions Intelex Essentials as having a lower total cost of ownership, eliminating the usual need for extensive implementation services associated with traditional EHS solutions.
