Insight has been named an OpenAI Advanced Partner within the OpenAI Partner Network, strengthening its role in selling and deploying OpenAI tools for midmarket and lower-enterprise customers.

The expanded relationship focuses on helping organisations build, deploy and scale artificial intelligence systems, particularly ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex and custom applications. Insight will use its Radius and Rapid AI offerings to support adoption, while establishing a dedicated OpenAI Centre of Excellence and adding specialist staff across sales, architecture, engineering and client-facing teams.

The move places Insight among a group of partners working directly with OpenAI as businesses seek outside help to turn early AI trials into broader operational use. Many companies have experimented with generative AI tools, but large-scale deployment has often been slowed by data, governance, workforce adoption and day-to-day integration issues.

Insight's work with OpenAI is intended to address those barriers by combining OpenAI's models and products with its own capabilities in cloud, data, cyber security and digital transformation. The relationship is designed to help clients move from pilot projects to production systems and support the use of OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra model in more complex business workflows.

Midmarket focus

The company is targeting what it describes as the midmarket and lower-enterprise segment, where businesses may have significant technology budgets but fewer in-house AI specialists than larger multinational groups. That market is becoming increasingly competitive for service providers, software vendors and consultancies looking to package AI adoption into repeatable programmes rather than one-off experiments.

Insight says it supports clients from strategy and governance through to implementation, managed services and ongoing optimisation. Under the OpenAI partnership, the two companies will also work together on industry-specific offerings, AI-based services and customer adoption efforts.

Insight also pointed to its own internal use of AI as part of the case for the partnership. More than 90% of its global workforce has adopted AI tools internally, a shift the company says has led to productivity gains and shaped its approach to governance, security and compliance.

That internal experience is likely to form part of its sales pitch to customers still working out how to manage risk while extending AI use beyond small teams. For many buyers, particularly in regulated or operationally complex sectors, the challenge has shifted from testing generative AI tools to creating a framework for broader deployment and oversight.

Workforce adoption

Jack Azagury, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight, said the company's approach was built around linking technology with organisational change.

"Insight has built a repeatable approach that connects technology, process transformation, and workforce adoption so clients can move from pilots to production and results faster," said Jack Azagury, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight.

"As an OpenAI Advanced Partner, we can help more organisations deploy AI responsibly, scale across the enterprise, and realise value at speed," added Azagury.

Channel strategy

For OpenAI, the partnership extends its channel strategy at a time when enterprise adoption has become central to its commercial growth. Rather than relying only on direct sales, OpenAI has been working with resellers, integrators and consulting groups that can help customers tailor models and tools to business processes, internal controls and sector requirements.

Colleen Kapase, Vice President of Strategic Global Partnerships and Ecosystems at OpenAI, said the combination of technology and implementation experience would matter to customers moving beyond the testing stage.

"Successful AI transformation requires both breakthrough technology and proven delivery expertise," said Colleen Kapase, Vice President of Strategic Global Partnerships and Ecosystems at OpenAI.

"Insight's customer reach, technical capabilities, and focus on business outcomes make them a valuable partner for organisations adopting AI. Working together, we can help more organisations accelerate the journey from AI exploration to real-world impact," added Kapase.
