Infinity Group has achieved Certified B Corporation status, placing the technology consultancy in a global network of companies assessed against standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

The accreditation follows more than two years of internal work to review and document the company's impact on staff, communities and the environment. The process involved changes to governance and policies, alongside a broader review of working practices across the business.

Certified B Corporations are independently assessed in areas including governance, workers, community, environment and customers. For Infinity Group, the assessment brought together work that had previously been spread across different parts of the organisation.

During the process, the business expanded community programmes, including school technology and artificial intelligence workshops. It also highlighted support for local charities through volunteering and donations, as well as apprenticeships and staff measures such as healthcare benefits, mental health support, engagement programmes and career development initiatives.

Environmental measures formed another part of the review, covering energy use, waste management and business travel. The company also said it had further embedded diversity, inclusion and responsible business practices in recruitment, leadership and day-to-day operations.

The certification comes as technology suppliers face broader scrutiny from customers and employees on issues beyond technical delivery. Alongside product and service expertise, companies are increasingly judged on governance, sustainability, workforce practices and their role in local communities.

Infinity Group is a Microsoft partner and advises organisations on technology, data, artificial intelligence, business applications, modern work, cyber security and managed services. It said the B Corp framework offered a way to measure progress in non-financial areas as it grows.

Rob Young, Chief Executive Officer, Infinity Group, said: "Becoming a certified B Corporation is a significant achievement for our business and a proud moment for everyone at Infinity Group. This certification reflects the values that have guided us for many years: doing the right thing for our people, our clients, our communities and the environment, while continuing to build a successful and sustainable business."

The B Corp designation is awarded to companies that meet set standards and commit to ongoing improvement. Businesses seeking certification must provide evidence of their policies and practices, rather than rely on broad statements of intent.

This emphasis on measurement has made the framework more visible among privately owned and founder-led companies seeking to demonstrate social and environmental commitments in a structured way. In the technology sector, where growth, recruitment and client trust are closely linked, external verification can also influence how a business is viewed by stakeholders.

At Infinity Group, the work linked to certification included formal governance updates as well as practical programmes aimed at widening access to careers in technology. School outreach and apprenticeships formed part of that effort, reflecting a broader focus on building local links while supporting skills development.

Lisa Herbert, Managing Director, Infinity Group, said: "This certification has been a genuine company-wide effort and we're incredibly happy with what we've achieved together. It recognises the work we've already done, but it also gives us a framework to keep improving and holding ourselves accountable in the years ahead."
