Ignition & Claroty partner to boost EMEA cyber-physical security
Ignition Technology has formed a strategic partnership with Claroty to advance cyber-physical systems security across EMEA, initially focusing on the UK and Ireland.
The collaboration aims to enable cybersecurity channel partners to expand their presence in the rapidly growing operational technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) security markets.
Market intelligence firm MarketsandMarkets has forecast that the global OT security market will grow from USD $23.47 billion in 2025 to USD $50.29 billion by 2030, representing a 16.5% compound annual growth rate. This increase is attributed to the ongoing convergence of traditional IT and OT systems and the accelerated adoption of technologies such as IIoT, AI, and analytics.
These trends contribute to expanded attack surfaces and the emergence of new threat vectors, many of which traditional IT security tools are not designed to address. Such vulnerabilities may go undetected by conventional security operations frameworks.
Claroty's research arm, Team82, recently published 'The CPS Blind Spot' report. Based on the analysis of more than 20 million assets—including OT, connected medical devices (IoMT), IT, and IoT infrastructure—the report found that 38% of the highest-risk OT and IoMT vulnerabilities would likely have been overlooked without CPS-specific security approaches.
Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology, emphasised the strategic significance of the partnership for existing security providers seeking to broaden their capabilities. He stated, "We see a massive opportunity for traditional security partners to capitalise on the growing need for customers to protect mission-critical environments as IT and OT infrastructures converge. It takes an ecosystem approach to secure today's interconnected, highly distributed and digitally driven organisations."
"The addition of Claroty's CPS platform to our vendor portfolio, alongside the likes of CrowdStrike, will enable partners to truly differentiate themselves, add value to their customers, and generate new market opportunities. We're excited by the possibilities that lie ahead."
The partnership will provide cybersecurity channel partners across EMEA with access to Claroty's CPS protection platform, complementing other offerings in Ignition Technology's portfolio. The initial rollout is designed for the UK and Ireland, and it will expand to more countries in the region over the coming months.
Lee Ealey-Newman, Channel RVP for EMEA at Claroty, welcomed the collaboration and highlighted the alignment of expertise and market ambition between the two companies. He said, "Protecting CPS is the new frontier in cybersecurity, and we're delighted to be partnering with Ignition Technology to accelerate and scale Claroty's business across EMEA. Claroty has built a platform that redefines CPS protection by bringing unrivaled industry expertise to our technology, and we value the same level of expertise in our partners. Together with Ignition, we now look forward to redefining partner value."
The partnership is expected to enable existing security-focused channel partners to offer broader solutions that address the unique security requirements of complex, interconnected industrial and critical infrastructure environments.
