Hungarian group unveils quantum-proof KvantPhone platform
Today a new communications platform, KvantPhone, has been unveiled as the world's pioneering quantum-proof solution to cyber security threats. This innovative technology developed by Hungary's Arenim Group stands as the leading comprehensive security infrastructure to protect against security risks instigated by quantum computing, an emerging field predicted to be able to dismantle all present-day cryptosystems within five years.
At its core, KvantPhone, a quantum secure calling and messaging service tailored for enterprises, guarantees secure, latency-free and high-grade communication facilities safeguarded from potential quantum computing exploits. Beyond quantum threats, the new solution also acts against other progressing cyber threats targeting communication channels. This includes criminal eavesdropping, hostile government surveillance, and industrial espionage. In fact, given that fully exploited mobile breaches increased by 187% YoY last year alone, the relevance and timing of this platform cannot be understated.
Complementing its security features, KvantPhone 2.0 also includes high-quality, latency-free and encrypted voice call experience, setting a new standard in communication security. The technology behind this is founded on the Arenim Group's industry-proven voice engine that has served upwards of 100 million calls. This integration creates an all-encompassing and secure offering for businesses, bringing together messaging, file sharing, and voice call services under one protective umbrella.
Szabolcs Kun, CEO of Arenim Group, elucidated on the quantum threat and the company's drive behind creating KvantPhone. He said, "Quantum computing has the potential to break all current industry-standard encryption techniques, with ease, and getting ahead of this threat is of utmost importance, which is exactly why we developed KvantPhone. It is the first technology of its type that protects communication channels from the security threat that it poses and is the only solution that businesses can deploy to get ahead of the next era of cyber damage."
KvantPhone seperates itself from the pack with its cutting-edge encryption techniques. Through use of AES-256-GCM encryption and NIST-recommended post-quantum cryptography ciphers, voice calls are secured. Additional methods like X25519 Diffie-Hellman key exchange with Kyber 1024 key encapsulation signed with Ed25519 and Dilithum5 algorithms fortify this security measure. This ensures that only concerning parties can decrypt sensitive voice data, and only during the call, making it impossible for hostile forces to decrypt calls even if the entire network data stream is recorded.
Protection of sensitive data extends to the device itself, with KvantPhone employing multi-key encryption to safeguard stored information. In this system, part of the encryption key is known only by the user, and another part is secured from the KvantPhone server through secure authentication. This effectively prevents brute force attacks on the user's device.
Besides its industry-leading security features, KvantPhone also has a user-friendly interface complemented with collaboration functionalities. These include multi-party conferencing, group chat, and file sending, making it the modern enterprise's answer to secure and efficient communication. Looking forward, the group is set to launch KvantMail, a quantum secure email service, later this year - a step that would open up highly secure e-mail functionality on several devices and operating systems.
