HeyFlow secures GBP £235,000 from Aer Venture Studios
HeyFlow has secured GBP £235,000 in investment from Aer Venture Studios to further develop its tech platform, aimed at improving female reproductive health inclusion in the workplace.
The company aims to use this investment to enhance its technology and employee insight products.
HeyFlow, which was founded with the mission of ending workplace disadvantages for women, is now looking to obtain pre-seed funding to take its platform to both national and global markets. This latest investment comes from Aer Venture Studios, a recently launched venture arm of Aer Studios, which focuses on early-stage SaaS tech businesses.
The majority-female start-up is addressing significant issues in the workplace, where 31% of women reportedly experience severe reproductive health symptoms annually. Additionally, 85% of women cope with at least four reproductive health conditions, and mothers face a 60% drop in earnings after their first child compared to fathers. HeyFlow aims to effect organisational change through valuable employee experience insights, ultimately promoting talent retention, profitability, and an equitable future for women in various industries.
Since its inception in 2023, HeyFlow has collaborated with companies such as Hitachi Vantara, BIMA, and Digitas. These collaborations have centred around understanding female employee experiences and informing leadership on gender inclusion strategies. The recent funding will allow for advancing HeyFlow's technology platform on both a national and international scale, integrating diagnostics and progress measurement tools, along with industry benchmarking capabilities.
Sophie Creese, Co-Founder of HeyFlow, commented on the investment, stating, "We're honoured to secure Aer Venture Studios' investment and trust in HeyFlow's vision. Its backing is a testament to our early success and powerful validation of our mission to champion reproductive health inclusion and close workplace gender gaps. At a time where only a small percentage of investment goes to female-founded companies, Aer Venture Studios' belief in HeyFlow sends a clear message that innovative, women-led start-ups are worthy of investment. Their support strengthens our ability to scale globally, and together, we're set to shake up the future of work."
Geoff Wells, Director of Aer Venture Studios, added, "Our mission is to help organisations realise their vision for digital experiences that have a positive impact on people and planet. Our ambition and values are perfectly aligned with HeyFlow's, making it the ideal collaboration and partnership. We are excited at the opportunity to bring the full force of our creative and technical talent in Aer Studios to realise HeyFlow's vision and accelerate its impact."
HeyFlow was co-founded by Sophie Creese, Nick Dean, and Sabrina Walls, with Kate Thompson, an applied behavioural scientist and co-founder of businessfourzero, recently joining as Non-Executive Director (NED). The team, with financial backing from ADLIB Recruitment, accumulates extensive expertise in gender equality work and talent solutions. Geoff Wells and Tom Harber from Aer Venture Studios will take active roles in HeyFlow, with Wells joining the board.
Currently, HeyFlow is seeking an additional GBP £250,000 in pre-seed funding. This amount would support the company in bringing its employee experience and diagnostics platform to the market. Future plans include the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide on-demand learning solutions and track global gender pay and ESG reporting mandates.
