Gamma teams up with Cisco to unveil new UCaaS solutions

Yesterday

Gamma Communications has announced a trio of developments that highlight its growing collaboration with Cisco. These initiatives aim to bolster Gamma's visibility as a go-to provider of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) in Western Europe.

The new offering, Horizon with Webex, combines Gamma's Horizon platform with Cisco's Webex. This integration is designed with small and medium-sized businesses in mind, giving them access to enhanced communication capabilities. Gamma's Horizon platform, known for its reliability and robust encryption standards, now integrates Webex's features, which is expected to allow smaller enterprises to scale and adapt their communication strategies more efficiently.

Horizon with Webex is built on Gamma's trusted network, which serves millions of users across the UK. This network assures robust industry-standard encryption and offers 24/7 UK-based support. Andrew Belshaw, CEO at Gamma, emphasised the importance of this launch, stating, "With the introduction of Webex into our portfolio for both partners and customers, we are providing the choice of tooling that's right for their business to thrive in today's dynamic world."

Webex Calling, branded as Webex for Gamma, will be available through Gamma partners on a wholesale basis and directly to enterprise and public sector customers. This offering further combines Cisco's acclaimed collaboration technology with Gamma's expertise in voice, connectivity, and managed services, aimed to enhance communication capabilities across Europe.

The recent acquisitions of BrightCloud Group and Placetel further cement Gamma's expertise and presence in the European market. BrightCloud Group, a Cisco-authorised reseller of Webex Contact Centre services, was acquired in July. This acquisition is poised to enhance Gamma's managed service capabilities, customer engagement, and overall support. Placetel, a German Cloud PBX provider, was acquired this month, positioning Gamma as a significant player in Germany. This move allows companies to purchase Cisco collaboration solutions both digitally and through local partners.

Andrew Belshaw commented on the acquisitions, saying, "Our recent acquisition of BrightCloud Group and Placetel further demonstrates our commitment to enhancing our Cisco partnership, strengthening our presence in the UK, Germany and wider Europe, and leading the way in delivering the most choice and the best outcomes for our partners and customers."

The strengthened relationship between Gamma and Cisco was underscored by DP Venkatesh, Chief Growth Officer at Cisco Collaboration, who stated, "Cisco is deepening our relationship with Gamma, delivering cutting-edge AI-powered Webex collaboration solutions. As AI transforms the business landscape, our innovative Webex platform enables Gamma to provide enhanced employee and customer experiences for businesses of all sizes across Europe."

The collaboration between Gamma and Cisco is anticipated to open up further opportunities, ensuring that Gamma remains a leader in UCaaS innovation. Through these combined initiatives, the companies aim to deliver advanced communication solutions for businesses across Europe.
