ConnectWise names Johannes Kamleitner EMEA go-to-market lead
ConnectWise has appointed Johannes Kamleitner as Senior Vice President, Go-to-Market for EMEA, giving him responsibility for regional sales execution and partner engagement across several European markets.
Based in Austria, Kamleitner will lead the go-to-market organisation across the UK and Ireland, DACH, the Nordics and Benelux. His remit includes commercial activity and partner programmes in markets where managed service providers remain a key route to delivering IT operations and security services.
He will work closely with Sam Callaghan, Vice President, EMEA Sales. ConnectWise said the hire is part of a broader investment in regional leadership and partner support across Europe.
Regional Leadership
ConnectWise is known for software used by IT solution providers and managed service providers. Its portfolio spans professional services automation, remote monitoring and management, cybersecurity and data protection, supported by a partner ecosystem that includes integrations with third-party tools.
In ConnectWise's definition, EMEA includes mature MSP markets such as the UK, the Netherlands and the Nordics, alongside the German-speaking region. Demand for outsourced IT management and security operations has continued in these markets, while providers face tighter compliance requirements and an evolving threat landscape.
ConnectWise framed Kamleitner's appointment as a way to accelerate its activity in the region. "Johannes is a highly respected leader with deep experience across EMEA and a proven ability to scale high-performing teams," said Joe Mercurio, Chief Revenue Officer.
"He will help accelerate our momentum in the region as we continue expanding our support and investment in partners across Europe," Mercurio added.
Career Background
Kamleitner joins from DataGuard, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, leading global sales and marketing. ConnectWise said he drove expansion through partner ecosystems and increased adoption of compliance and security offerings.
Previously, he held senior roles at N-able, formerly SolarWinds MSP, and at GFI Software, covering go-to-market work across EMEA and other regions, including APAC and Latin America.
His background aligns with a market in which vendors often sell through MSP partners and distributors, and with the growing focus on security and compliance tools within MSP stacks as providers seek more standardised services and stronger operational control across customer estates.
Go-to-Market Focus
ConnectWise said Kamleitner will oversee the next phase of its growth in EMEA, linking the role to partner alignment and a portfolio spanning security, compliance and MSP management tools. The company also highlighted innovation, automation and security as themes for its regional plans.
Kamleitner said he will focus on close work with partners and regional teams. "I'm thrilled to join ConnectWise at such an important time for MSPs across EMEA and UKI," he said.
"The opportunity to work closely with partners and regional teams to support growth through innovation, automation, and security is incredibly compelling. I look forward to collaborating with the broader ConnectWise team to deliver meaningful outcomes for MSPs across the region," Kamleitner added.
Partner Events
ConnectWise said Kamleitner will appear at IT Nation Connect Europe in London in March, alongside company executives and community leaders. The event is part of the company's broader engagement with MSP partners, including product updates, roadmap briefings and community programming.
The appointment adds another senior leader focused on executing ConnectWise's European strategy, with Kamleitner set to lead go-to-market activity across the UK and Ireland, DACH, the Nordics and Benelux.
