CloudCoCo has launched an AI-driven procurement platform for enterprise IT purchasing, covering a catalogue of 250,000 stocked products.

The Sheffield-based company said the system is aimed at mid-market and enterprise buyers and is designed to shorten purchasing cycles in business-to-business technology procurement. It has also appointed two former Ampito executives to support the commercial rollout.

Russell Bristow has joined as Director of Commercial Strategy and Deep Toor as Director of Revenue and Growth. Both were part of Ampito's founding team, where they helped build the technology solutions provider's business.

The new platform uses agentic AI tools to manage real-time catalogue curation across CloudCoCo's product range. The same architecture also handles end-to-end ERP automation for customer and supplier invoice processing.

CloudCoCo is positioning the platform around some of the more complex issues in corporate IT buying, including vendor sprawl across large supplier networks and the challenge of managing total cost of ownership rather than simple purchase price. It is also assessing further uses for the technology in supplier discovery, risk management and operational support.

The launch follows a restructuring that left the group with a lean, debt-free operating model and restored profitability. Since then, the business has focused on expanding its procurement and eCommerce activities.

Commercial push

Bristow will lead commercial strategy as CloudCoCo looks to replace fragmented purchasing processes with more automated workflows for corporate IT teams. Toor will oversee sales growth, with a brief to expand direct business and widen the company's reach in UK and overseas markets.

CloudCoCo operates in a part of the technology market where procurement is often slower and more fragmented than consumer eCommerce, especially when large organisations are dealing with multiple suppliers, internal compliance checks and manual back-office systems. Its approach is to use automation across both product selection and transaction processing, rather than limiting it to front-end ordering.

The platform is intended to address both the buying process and the administrative work that follows a transaction. By linking catalogue management with invoice processing inside ERP systems, CloudCoCo is seeking to reduce the manual steps that can delay fulfilment and add costs for buyers and suppliers.

Simon Duckworth CBE DL, Non-Executive Chairman of CloudCoCo, described the launch as part of a broader expansion plan following the company's internal overhaul.

He said: "We are entering a transformative chapter for CloudCoCo. Having successfully streamlined our operations, our focus is now purely on scale. Bringing in talent of Russell and Deep's calibre - individuals who have already proven they can take a business and drive it to the very top of the UK IT sector - is a massive statement of intent. Their experience is exactly the blueprint we are looking to follow as we target our next revenue milestones."

The two appointments add sales and channel experience at a time when many IT suppliers are looking for ways to simplify purchasing for larger customers without adding more intermediaries to the process. CloudCoCo said its model is intended to help IT leaders manage multi-vendor estates and technology lifecycles more efficiently.

Bristow pointed to the company's current structure and growth plans in remarks on joining the business.

He said: "CloudCoCo has a fantastic foundation and a lean, agile structure that is ready for significant growth. I am excited to apply the lessons learned from scaling IT resell operations to help CloudCoCo become the go-to partner for enterprises seeking efficiency and innovation."

Toor also set out his view of the company's direction as it expands its sales effort.

He said: "There's a massive amount of energy and drive at CloudCoCo right now. The business represents a clear, ambitious path to market leadership, and I look forward to working with the team to turn that ambition into delivering results for our shareholders and our customers alike."
