CloudBolt deepens AWS deal to boost cloud & Kubernetes
CloudBolt has signed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services, expanding an existing relationship around building, managing and optimising workloads on AWS across cloud and container environments.
The agreement sets out closer coordination between CloudBolt and AWS teams, including sales and leadership functions. It also extends work between the companies into container services, where CloudBolt's StormForge product focuses on Kubernetes optimisation.
CloudBolt said the collaboration covers hybrid and multi-cloud operations that run on AWS. The company positions the agreement as a formalisation of collaboration that already includes participation in the AWS ISV Accelerate Programme.
Co-sell focus
CloudBolt takes part in AWS ISV Accelerate, an AWS Partner programme designed around joint selling. Under the programme, AWS works with software vendors whose products run on AWS or integrate with it.
The companies said the strategic collaboration agreement strengthens that commercial alignment. CloudBolt said it expects closer coordination across sales and leadership teams as a result.
The arrangement also includes procurement through AWS Marketplace. CloudBolt said this gives customers a route to adopt and scale its software through AWS purchasing channels.
Cloud and containers
CloudBolt's product set covers cloud management and cost controls. The company sells a cloud management platform and FinOps tools. It also offers automated billing and chargeback tools under the BillOps name.
Under the AWS collaboration, CloudBolt highlighted its work in Kubernetes. The company said StormForge complements AWS by rightsizing Kubernetes clusters. The company described the process as "intelligent rightsizing".
CloudBolt also said customers should expect "smarter Kubernetes efficiency at scale via StormForge's intelligent rightsizing". It said the collaboration spans "both traditional and containerized workloads".
In the announcement, CloudBolt listed outcomes it expects customers to see from the expanded relationship. These include "faster time from cloud insight to action across AWS environments" and "continuous optimization to reduce waste and improve efficiency".
Governance themes
Cloud cost management remains a common focus for large organisations that run estates across multiple environments. Many firms operate a mix of public cloud services, private infrastructure, and container platforms. They also face internal pressure for clearer governance and predictable spending.
CloudBolt said the agreement aligns its roadmap with enterprise priorities that include "AI-driven automation and infrastructure modernization". It did not set out specific product changes tied to those themes.
Brendan Dolan, Chief Financial Officer, CloudBolt, described the aims of the agreement in operational terms.
"This SCA deepens our collaboration with AWS to help teams build faster, operate with stronger governance, and optimize at scale across both traditional and containerized workloads," said Brendan Dolan, Chief Financial Officer, CloudBolt Software. "We're focused on practical improvements that simplify operations and improve efficiency."
CloudBolt described itself as a provider of cloud cost optimisation and hybrid cloud management software. It said its tools target platform engineering, IT operations, FinOps and finance teams.
The agreement puts added focus on AWS as a platform for those customers. It also sets a framework for how CloudBolt and AWS teams work together across sales engagement and customer adoption through AWS Marketplace.
CloudBolt said the collaboration extends "from cloud to container services".
