Climb Global Solutions acquires French IT distributor NeoVAD for €16m

Climb Global Solutions has acquired French IT distributor NeoVAD for approximately €16.0 million, extending its presence in France.

NeoVAD distributes cybersecurity, cloud services and virtualisation products to reseller partners across France. It works with about 300 active resellers, integrators and managed service providers through a two-tier model, and has vendor relationships including Cato Networks, DataCore and Netwrix.

The acquisition gives Climb a local distribution operation in one of Europe's largest technology markets. The group already operates across the US, Canada and Europe through business units including Climb Channel Solutions, Grey Matter and Climb Global Services.

Financial details disclosed with the transaction show NeoVAD generated EBITDA of about €2.2 million in its 2025 fiscal year, up from about €378,000 a year earlier. Climb expects the transaction to be accretive to earnings and adjusted EBITDA.

The purchase highlights continued consolidation in specialist IT distribution, where vendors often rely on regional distributors to reach resellers and service providers with technical support, training and marketing assistance. In markets such as France, local relationships and in-country support can be especially important in cybersecurity and cloud software.

European expansion

NeoVAD is expected to strengthen several existing vendor relationships within Climb's wider European business. Climb also sees an opportunity to expand its Microsoft distribution activity by combining its existing EMEA operations with NeoVAD's local training and technical support presence in France.

Dale Foster, Chief Executive Officer of Climb, said the deal fitted the company's European expansion plans.

"NeoVAD is a strong fit with our strategy to continue expanding Climb's scale and capabilities across Europe," said Dale Foster, Chief Executive Officer, Climb Global Solutions. "The acquisition adds meaningful reach in France while strengthening several important vendor relationships and creating opportunities to bring more of Climb's portfolio to NeoVAD's reseller network. At the same time, NeoVAD's established position in France can help us build greater depth with vendors including Cato Networks, DataCore and Netwrix across our broader platform. We also see a meaningful opportunity to expand our Microsoft distribution business by pairing our existing EMEA capabilities with NeoVAD's local training and technical support expertise. We expect this acquisition to be accretive to earnings and adjusted EBITDA, while NeoVAD's stronger margin profile further supports our profitability objectives and expands our European platform for continued growth."

Specialist distribution

NeoVAD has built its business around specialist software segments rather than broadline IT distribution. Its focus on cybersecurity, cloud and virtualisation places it in product categories that remain active areas of channel spending as resellers respond to customer demand for security, hybrid infrastructure and subscription software.

That specialisation also helps explain the appeal for Climb, which has positioned itself around emerging and niche technology vendors rather than mass-market hardware distribution. By adding a distributor with an established reseller base in France, Climb gains another route to market for suppliers already on its books while broadening the vendor set it can support across Europe.

Jérôme Boulon, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NeoVAD, said the French distributor saw room to widen its reach through Climb's European network.

"For more than a decade, we have built NeoVAD around a focused portfolio of cybersecurity, cloud and virtualization solutions and a high-touch model designed to help resellers successfully bring those technologies to market. Climb shares our focus on specialized, value-added distribution and brings broader scale and capabilities that can help us build on what we have established in France. We see significant opportunity to expand the solutions we bring to our reseller partners while creating additional opportunities for our vendors across Climb's European platform," said Jérôme Boulon.

French foothold

The transaction value of around US$18.0 million is modest by the standards of large-scale technology mergers, but it is notable in specialist channel distribution, where acquisitions are often aimed at adding geography, vendor relationships and partner networks rather than large headcount or infrastructure assets. NeoVAD's recent rise in EBITDA suggests Climb is buying a business that sharply improved profitability over the past year.

France has often been a harder market for foreign distributors to penetrate without a local operating base because of language requirements, established reseller ties and the importance of local pre-sales and training support. NeoVAD's existing network and support model therefore give Climb an immediate foothold rather than requiring a greenfield build-out.

Climb did not disclose further integration details, but its stated rationale around France, Microsoft distribution and vendor overlap suggests it intends to use NeoVAD both as a domestic platform and as a link into its broader European operations.
