Atos completes first three-year UEFA IT support cycle
Atos has completed its first full three-year cycle supporting UEFA men's national team competitions, following its delivery of IT services for UEFA Futsal EURO 2026.
At the futsal championship, staged across Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia, Atos provided end-to-end information and communications technology support through on-site venue teams and remote specialists.
The work formed part of Atos's wider operational relationship with UEFA, covering several men's national team competitions. Atos has been the Official Information Technology Partner of UEFA Men's National Team Football since late 2022.
Futsal support
For UEFA Futsal EURO 2026, Atos delivered accreditation management, local infrastructure services, network oversight and configuration with local organising teams, and business user support for UEFA staff.
Atos reported "zero major incidents" over the three-year cycle and improvements across "all major indicators of the board", but did not provide specific metrics.
Futsal has grown in participation and visibility in recent years, with UEFA expanding coverage and competition structures. Atos cited figures indicating the sport is played in more than 100 countries, with about 12 million players.
Competition cycle
The three-year cycle included the UEFA Nations League Finals 2023, UEFA EURO 2024, the UEFA Nations League Finals 2025, the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2025, UEFA Futsal EURO 2026, and European Qualifiers.
Major football tournaments rely on operational systems for venue connectivity, user support, access control, and coordination between organisers and local delivery bodies. These services sit alongside broadcast and competition systems managed by other providers.
Atos said it combined operational delivery with the introduction of new solutions during the cycle, describing the period as one of rising fan engagement and wider technology adoption across sport.
Atos's Major Events unit has worked on sports technology projects for more than 30 years. The business also has long-running roles with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, including IT services for recent editions of the Games.
It provided services for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has also taken on a role with CONMEBOL as Official Innovation Partner, focused on South American domestic club competitions.
The UEFA work comes as technology suppliers to sports bodies compete on delivery track record, security posture, and resilience under high-demand conditions. Tournament operations combine fixed venue infrastructure with temporary deployments and require coordination across multiple host countries and venues.
"The successful completion of this entire competition cycle at the service of UEFA is a proud moment for Atos and all the teams that worked hard to deliver on our commitments and above. We are honored to stand alongside UEFA in delivering some of the highest profile sport competition and to provide the technological foundation that ensures the smooth and secure operation of every match and every tournament for the benefits of fans worldwide," said Nacho Moros, Head of Atos Major Events.
Atos said its role as UEFA's IT partner for men's national team football will continue beyond the first full cycle.
