A24, a player in the security sector, announced that it has successfully achieved the global compliance Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0 for their Multicloud Hardware Security Module as a Service (HSMaaS).
The accreditation came well before the 2025 deadline, positioning A24 as a trailblazer in the field of data security and the fight against emerging data threats, the company states.
The new PCI DSS version 4.0, superseding the prior version 3.2.1, is primed to counter evolving threats and technologies through encouraging innovative methods to shield cardholder data and alleviate security breaches.
A24’s acquisition of this extensive certification underlines its dedication to adhering to the stringent information security standards, especially within highly regulated sectors, such as the government and payments realm.
A24’s Regional President APAC, Gerardo D’Angelo, said about this vital advancement, “Encryption standards are rising, and data security threats are escalating, hence the transformation from PCI DSS version 3 to version 4 is a critical move to fortify the protection of payments using improved protocols."
"We are immensely pleased to have attained the latest PCI DSS standard as it reflects our unrelenting commitment to beefing up our clients’ and their clients’ data security, particularly in highly regulated industries in the face of increasingly challenging digital landscapes.”
In addition to its certification achievement, A24 has been selected by Invest NSW to be among their delegate companies for the Singapore Fintech Festival 2023.
As part of the distinguished Austrade Stand at the festival, A24, alongside 15 other innovative companies, will showcase their contributions to the region's fintech sector at the world's foremost financial technology gathering between the 15th and 17th of November.
Further demonstrating A24's commitment to enhancing its security services is the recent appointment of Shane Tully as the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Tully, a seasoned IT security professional with vast international and domestic experience, joined the A24 leadership team in August. He is renowned for his expertise in security, multi-cloud, and preparing payment organisations to counter intensifying data and cybersecurity threats.
Tully expressed his enthusiasm about joining the team saying, “I am delighted to join a company that's committed to a multi-faceted approach, combining technology, partners, processes, and people, to help clients achieve superior critical infrastructure and security hygiene."
"A24 works relentlessly to mitigate risks and ensure our clients’ global platforms remain safeguarded, and I am happy to play a crucial role in this.” His appointment further solidifies A24's focus on providing highly specialised, secure, and managed IT infrastructure, the company states.
