Veritone & Nuix join forces to elevate AI-driven redaction
Veritone has announced a strategic partnership with Nuix to integrate its AI-enabled redaction capabilities into Nuix's Neo platform and ecosystem. This collaboration aims to enhance audio and visual workflows, addressing the increasing volume of video and audio data encountered in investigations, eDiscovery, and compliance initiatives.
The Nuix Neo platform offers comprehensive solutions for data privacy, cyber-breach response, investigations, and end-to-end eDiscovery for the legal sector. By merging Nuix's platform with Veritone's aiWARE, a suite that includes over 300 AI models, the partnership introduces a turnkey solution to manage audio and textual data and elevates the handling of evidentiary media files such as body-worn camera footage, car-dashcam video, CCTV surveillance footage, and jailhouse phone calls.
Jonathan Rubinsztein, Group CEO of Nuix, highlighted the strengths of this collaboration. "Combining Nuix's powerful capabilities to understand high volumes of unstructured data with forensic rigour with Veritone's industry-leading capabilities in handling audio and video data allows us to provide a complete, compelling solution to our customers," Rubinsztein said.
Jon Gacek, General Manager of Veritone Public Sector, also underscored the significance of the agreement. "Our agreement with Nuix is a testament to the distinct value of aiWARE, which is a scalable AI platform that can be easily integrated into third-party solutions to meet a variety of use cases and needs," said Gacek. "Additionally, this agreement expands the global footprint of our audio and video capabilities in the areas of criminal investigations and data privacy, while laying the foundation for future expansion opportunities with Nuix given the breadth of models we offer."
Veritone's AI platform, aiWARE, is renowned for its adaptability and scalability, allowing it to cater to a wide range of applications. Veritone Redact, a key component of aiWARE, offers users the ability to manually define sensitive imagery and objects and then automatically redact this information from audio, video, and image-based evidence. Once redacted, the evidence can be quickly downloaded with logs to support chain-of-custody requirements and shared with colleagues, public defenders, and other stakeholders. Additionally, it enables keyword and phrase searches within recorded audio, facilitating quick redaction of sensitive items.
The integration of Veritone and Nuix technology is expected to significantly bolster the capabilities of investigators, legal professionals, and compliance officers in handling large volumes of video and audio data. By automating the redaction process and ensuring all personally identifiable information is completely removed, the combined solution aims to streamline the fulfilment of public records requests and judiciary deadlines.
By joining forces, Veritone and Nuix aim to provide an innovative approach to managing and analysing the growing volumes of digital evidence. This partnership comes at a time when the need for efficient data handling and privacy compliance is more critical than ever.
