Unit4 hits 100th ERPx go-live & boosts AI investment
Unit4 has marked the second half of 2025 with a series of milestones, including the 100th customer go-live for its ERPx platform, new customer wins across Europe and North America, a major internal AI learning initiative and an additional cybersecurity attestation.
The London-headquartered software company, which focuses on organisations in people and service-based sectors, reported growing adoption of its cloud-based enterprise resource planning products and renewed emphasis on its financial management portfolio.
ERPx roll-out milestone
Unit4 said it had reached the 100th successful customer go-live for ERPx, its flagship ERP product. The deployment landmark follows a period of implementation activity with customers in both public and private sectors.
Organisations that have gone live on ERPx include the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, technology consultancy Epical and Dutch local authority Gemeente Delft.
The company positions ERPx as its core cloud platform for mid-sized and large organisations in services-driven industries, with embedded artificial intelligence and automation features. The 100th go-live underscores the maturity of the product's roll-out programme and implementation ecosystem.
Industry analysts noted the pace of activity around the platform. "Unit4 is building real momentum at a pivotal time for client organisations as they modernise their core ERP and financial applications. The company's laser-focus on the people-centric industries that it serves, is helping to position ERPx and Coda as key platforms for driving agility and resilience while harnessing the growing potential of artificial intelligence," said Nick Mayes, Principal Analyst at industry analyst firm PAC.
Financials by Coda focus
Unit4 also stepped up engagement with customers of its long-standing financial management software, Unit4 Financials by Coda. The company held a dedicated customer event in September for finance leaders using the Coda platform.
Unit4 said it is aligning product and commercial strategies around Coda. The aim is to increase the speed of innovation on the roadmap in areas such as artificial intelligence, the user interface and analytics. It is also strengthening its partner strategy around Coda in response to demand from larger enterprises.
The company expects finance teams to need greater agility and real-time analysis as automation and so-called agentic AI change how corporate finance functions operate.
New wins and deployments
Unit4 reported a series of go-lives and new customer signings during the period. The company said the deals reflect demand from public sector bodies, financial institutions, social care providers and industrial and services businesses.
New or recently live customers include Swedish Export Credit Corporation, a state-owned financier of exporters, and Dutch regional authority De Provincie Zeeland. In the UK, social care provider Lifeways Community Care and specialist support organisation Achieve together selected Unit4 software.
In North America, John Fabick Tractor Company, a Caterpillar dealer based in Missouri, joined the customer base. In continental Europe, Compass Group Belgium, which provides catering and support services across sectors, also adopted Unit4 applications.
Internal AI learning drive
Inside the company, Unit4 ran its annual Learning Festival with a focus on artificial intelligence. The two-week programme combined in-person sessions in eight global hubs with a series of virtual events.
More than 800 employees attended sessions on site and over 2,000 joined 42 virtual sessions. Partners including Microsoft, ServiceNow and Gainsight took part in the curriculum.
The initiative delivered more than 20,000 hours of AI-related learning. The content covered foundational AI concepts, ethical issues, common concerns about automation and practical examples of how Unit4 applies AI within its products and operations.
Unit4 said the festival supports its efforts to build an AI-literate workforce and to integrate AI features across its product portfolio and internal processes.
Security and compliance
The company also expanded its information security credentials. It obtained C5 Type 1 Attestation, a cloud security framework developed by Germany's Federal Office for Information Security.
Unit4 already held certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and SOC 2. The C5 attestation adds another layer of independent validation for its cloud services.
The company said the assessment enhances trust and transparency around security controls for European customers, especially those subject to EU and German regulatory expectations. It also supports audit and compliance requirements for public sector and regulated industry clients.
Customer benefits include an independently validated security posture, a publicly available audit report, and alignment with stricter data protection and operational standards in the region.
People-centric strategy
Unit4's leadership linked the product and security milestones with its focus on customers in sectors such as professional services, public services, non-profits and education.
"People-centricity is the North Star for Unit4. We remain dedicated to enabling our people and customers to achieve goals more efficiently and effectively, so it was fantastic to celebrate our 100th ERPx customer in H2, with hundreds more "in the wings", either signed and en route to go-live or in the contracting stages. It is also why we continue to invest in our core products, such as Unit4 Financials by Coda, and our people with the AI Learning Festival. The world of work is changing dramatically and rapidly, which can create uncertainty for everyone, so our commitment to innovation and customer success sends a message that we are 100% focused on creating even greater value for our customers while also enabling our employees to understand how work should feel with the support of AI tools," said Simon Paris, CEO, Unit4.
The company said it expects further ERPx go-lives and continued investment in Financials by Coda and AI-related initiatives in the coming months.
