UMusic Hotels adopts Oracle Cloud for guest service & growth
UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle (UMHL) has adopted Oracle Cloud technology to support its operations as it expands its portfolio of music-focused hotels around the world.
UMHL, which operates UMusic Hotels, has integrated Oracle NetSuite, OPERA Cloud, and Simphony Point-of-Sale (POS) systems to enhance global financial management, streamline guest services, and provide consistent food and retail operations across its properties, including a new flagship hotel in Madrid.
Operational efficiency
According to UMHL, the move was made to enable scalable financial operations and provide an efficient and personalised guest experience as the company expands its presence throughout Europe, the US, and Latin America.
"Our goal is to deliver immersive, unforgettable guest experiences across the world, and that requires technology that can keep pace with our vision," said Javier Ferrer, IT PMO Manager, UMusic Hotels. "With NetSuite's cloud-based system, we can manage our day-to-day operations from anywhere, scale quickly, and make faster, more informed decisions. Coupled with the power of OPERA Cloud, we have a complete solution to streamline our business and consistently delight our guests."
UMusic Hotels has said the technology from Oracle has allowed its teams to consolidate and automate financial workflows across subsidiaries spanning several countries. The company reports this approach supports quicker, data-driven decision-making and improved collaboration among its international workforce.
Guest experience
The OPERA Cloud property management system has given UMusic Hotels deeper visibility into guest preferences and enhanced the way staff interact with guests on-site. By using mobile features within the platform, staff are able to respond promptly to guest needs and efficiently manage services like check-in, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Meanwhile, the Oracle Simphony POS system has been implemented across UMusic Hotels' dining venues and the UMusic Shop, which the company says has supported consistent, reliable service and integrated operations across various guest touchpoints.
UMHL's business model integrates live events, eCommerce, branded merchandise, and traditional accommodation, all underpinned by the technology delivered through Oracle's cloud applications.
Industry perspective
Alberto Lozano Gómez, Senior Director for Southern Europe at Oracle NetSuite, commented on the technology partnership:
"UMusic Hotels is pioneering a new type of experience that blends music, travel, and discovery. With NetSuite and OPERA Cloud, UMusic Hotels has the right combination to enhance guest satisfaction, increase efficiency, and provide the foundation to support its ambitious growth plans."
Continued growth
UMHL has indicated that the new systems form part of its wider strategy for global expansion, with the Madrid hotel acting as a flagship property. The company is planning to open further sites in new markets in the coming years, with a focus on combining hospitality and music-driven experiences in its offering.
The combined use of Oracle NetSuite for enterprise resource planning, OPERA Cloud for property management, and Simphony POS for restaurants and retail is reported to be central to UMHL's approach as it seeks to support growth while maintaining operational efficiency and guest service standards. These platforms are designed to integrate core hotel functions and provide the agility required for a multi-faceted hospitality business.
