UK's Purple Transform appoints new Principal Solutions Architect

The UK-based AI trailblazer, Purple Transform, recently announced the appointment of Andrew Longyear as its new Principal Solutions Architect. With a career spanning over three and a half decades in the IT and telecommunications sectors, Andrew is expected to enhance the team's strength in designing and deploying operational solutions.

Purple Transform's AI-enabled platform specialises in improving human outcomes by integrating machine intelligence with existing infrastructure such as cameras, sensors, and third-party data. Applications include monitoring UK rail lines for trespass, station overcrowding, obstructions, and a host of other uses.

Andrew Longyear's key responsibilities will include guiding and developing innovative solutions that combine CCTV and IoT hardware with Purple Transform's AI software capabilities. He will also be involved in creating prototypes for real-life applications, market analysis, testing, and supporting the implementation teams during new deployments. Offering consultancy and pre-sales support to new and existing customers, particularly when exploring new business requirements, is also part of his role.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience from his time in the IT and telecommunications industry, where he worked for globally recognised blue-chip companies. Spending the last 18 years focusing on the industrial sector, he has consistently demonstrated how sensor networks, smart vision analytics, machine learning, and AI can bring about tangible results. His track record includes leading successful programmes for leading global rail, manufacturing, utilities, and pharmaceutical companies.
