Trint launches AI Summaries to ease transcript workflow
Trint has launched a new feature offering users the ability to create transcript summaries of up to 400 words with a single click.
This feature, named AI Summaries, is designed to enhance AI transcription services by enabling journalists to quickly identify and extract key quotes for content creation without delay. The traditionally time-consuming task of sifting through transcripts is now simplified, allowing for quicker content generation and resource savings.
The feature is available to all users of Trint and is straightforward to use. Users can generate a summary by opening a transcript and selecting the Generative Summaries button located in the right-hand panel. However, users are advised to review their transcripts first to ensure the accuracy of the resulting summary.
AI-generated summaries are currently available in four languages: English, French, German, and Spanish. Trint assures users that data security is maintained as their AI is trained externally, meaning it does not learn from the user's data, thereby keeping the information secure.
The demand for concise social media content that engages audiences has increased, and Trint aims to assist users in quickly finding necessary information. This is especially beneficial when working with multiple transcripts, helping to drive engagement towards main stories.
AI Summaries has been developed with the intent to make workflows more efficient, aligning with a modern newsroom's needs. By reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks, journalists can focus more on storytelling and content creation, which could otherwise risk the organisation lagging behind in terms of audience engagement.
To reassure users regarding data security, Trint highlights its ISO 27001 certification. This certification ensures that generated summaries are protected by robust security frameworks, and guarantees that no Trint employee can access these summaries without prior permission. Furthermore, it confirms that Trint's AI will not use transcriptions for self-learning purposes.
Jeff Kofman, CEO of Trint, commented on the launch saying, "We're thrilled to announce the launch of AI Summaries, a tool that will enhance user's workflow and newsroom efficiency. Developed to streamline the content creation process, AI Summaries will cut down the time spent on tedious tasks, allowing more time for storytelling and writing.
At Trint, we believe that streamlining of tasks is essential for newsrooms of the future. Everyone will be working smarter and faster to meet the demands of today's audience with technology and innovation at the heart of the industry. We're excited for our users to benefit from AI Summaries to alleviate some of the time pressures journalists face!"
