TeamSystem acquires ClicData to boost AI data tools for SMEs

Fri, 4th Jul 2025

TeamSystem has acquired the French SaaS data management platform ClicData, broadening its business intelligence and data analytics services for small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe and North America.

Acquisition details

TeamSystem, which develops digital business management solutions with a focus on artificial intelligence, has announced the full acquisition of ClicData. The French company, established in 2008 by Telmo Silva and Hélène Clary, specialises in cloud-native technology that allows customers to integrate, transform and visualise data from over 250 different sources. ClicData currently supports more than 500 customers in Europe and North America and reported 2024 revenue of approximately EUR €3.4 million.

This deal follows TeamSystem's earlier move into the French market with the acquisition of Clémentine, a B2B accounting technology company, earlier in the year. The addition of ClicData provides TeamSystem with an expanded suite of analytics tools specifically designed to support micro, small and medium-sized businesses.

Strategic rationale

The company said the integration of ClicData's platform enables it to enhance its business intelligence capabilities and deliver more advanced data analytics for its 2.5 million customers. TeamSystem aims to reinforce its position as a digital transformation partner for SMEs and professionals in Italy, Europe and the Mediterranean region.

TeamSystem's latest financial data shows a turnover of EUR €1 billion for 2024, up 19% from the previous year, with the business now employing more than 5,000 professionals across its digital platforms and cloud-based services.

"The acquisition of ClicData is key to our international expansion strategy. In 2024 we significantly strengthened our global footprint and enriched our technological expertise, surpassing €1 billion in revenue. With this strategic move we will further enhance our ability to deliver increasingly comprehensive and data-driven AI solutions to our 2.5 million customers," said Federico Leproux, CEO of TeamSystem. "By leveraging ClicData's cutting-edge, accessible and cloud-native platform, we will be able to provide even more powerful data analytics tools that can integrate diverse sources and generate real-time insights. This will enable our customers to transform complex data into tangible value, unlocking fast, informed and strategic decision-making."

ClicData's technology focuses on interactive dashboards, predictive analytics, and AI-driven features to facilitate informed decision-making from complex and varied data sources.

Opportunities for growth

Telmo Silva, CEO of ClicData, said the deal will allow the French company to extend its capabilities and accelerate growth in the sector.

"Joining TeamSystem marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for ClicData. We are confident that, by capitalising on TeamSystem's deep expertise in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, we will take our offering to the next level," added Telmo Silva, CEO of ClicData. "We believe this operation will drive significant innovation and growth for both companies, to the benefit of our customers and the broader market."

TeamSystem stated that its customer base will benefit from a new set of artificial intelligence-powered business intelligence tools, aimed at providing integrated data, automated insights and intelligent dashboards to enhance competitiveness and support faster business decisions.

Advisors to the transaction

The legal aspects of the transaction were overseen by Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer for TeamSystem, with Ernst & Young advising on financial, tax, and HR matters. ClicData was advised by Rothschild on M&A aspects and by KPMG for financial and tax matters, while DTMV Avocats acted as legal advisor.

Both companies believe the acquisition represents a step towards increased digital transformation of business operations for SMEs undergoing growth across various regions, particularly as firms seek to implement more advanced business intelligence and data analytics solutions to streamline internal workflows and strategic planning.
