StorONE adds Kubernetes support to enterprise platform

Today

StorONE has announced the integration of Kubernetes (K8s) support into its ONE Enterprise Storage Platform, aiming to simplify the management of containerised applications within a unified storage setting.

The integration of Kubernetes into StorONE's core platform is part of its strategy to eliminate storage silos while providing customers with advanced features as standard, avoiding the need for additional licensing costs. This development enables the platform to offer simplicity, efficiency, and scalability to enterprises utilising containerised applications.

Gal Naor, CEO of StorONE, stated, "We are thrilled to continue empowering our customers by expanding the capabilities of our ONE Storage Platform. Our Kubernetes integration reflects our commitment to a true platform approach, one that offers all features as part of a single, unified product, without creating silos or requiring standalone solutions. Customers shouldn't have to compromise between simplicity and functionality. With StorONE, they get the right solution at the right time, with the right technology."

The integration is designed to work seamlessly without creating operational complexities, by incorporating Kubernetes as a core part of the platform rather than presenting it as an additional tool. This allows customers to upgrade to the latest version and receive Kubernetes benefits as part of their existing StorONE license at no extra cost.

Naor further added, "We developed this capability not as an add-on, but as a natural extension of our platform because it's what our customers need to succeed in a modern data center." The incorporation includes access to a range of enterprise-grade features such as data protection, security, and snapshots within Kubernetes environments.

The addition of Kubernetes to the StorONE platform aligns with the company's vision to provide maximum value, by allowing features like auto-tiering, snapshots, and replication to operate seamlessly alongside Kubernetes environments. This approach simplifies the integration of containerised applications where traditional storage systems have often led to complex operations.

Kubernetes has increasingly become vital for the management of modern workloads in dynamic environments, including multi-cloud and hybrid settings. StorONE's integration seeks to eliminate the historical complexities associated with deploying containerised applications alongside existing storage systems.

Naor elaborated, "StorONE is simplifying the modern data center by enabling enterprises to seamlessly incorporate Kubernetes into their operations without the need for complex deployment or additional management layers. This ensures maximum efficiency and transparency for containerized workloads."

StorONE's ONE Enterprise Storage Platform is designed to maximise storage hardware performance and efficiency while dramatically reducing costs and complexity. StorONE supports any storage use case, protocol, disk type, or deployment on-premises or in the cloud.
