Storm Technology has appointed Conall O'Kane as M365 Productivity and Engagement Practise Director, placing the long-serving Microsoft specialist in charge of the practice's commercial and operational direction.
He will also oversee governance and compliance work supporting customers using Microsoft 365. The appointment follows a decade at Storm Technology in roles focused on workplace collaboration, delivery and practice management.
Most recently, O'Kane served as Modern Workplace Practise Manager, a role he took on in 2021. He oversaw resource planning, utilisation and financial performance across the Microsoft 365 practice, while working with sales and account management teams on pre-sales activity and pipeline development.
He also led practice development, including the expansion of service offerings and internal toolkits. Before that, he spent three years as Modern Workplace Team Lead, managing a team of Microsoft 365 consultants and overseeing the delivery of multiple client engagements.
Earlier in his tenure, O'Kane was SharePoint and M365 Senior Consultant. His work included leading projects involving SharePoint Online, Teams, Purview and governance tools, as well as facilitating workshops, presenting findings and supporting proposal writing and effort estimation.
Before joining Storm Technology, he worked as Sharepoint and O365 Consultant at GreenDot Consulting, Sharepoint Administrator at Australia Post, and IT Support and Technical Lead at ESB. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems and a Master's in Business Information Systems from University College Cork.
O'Kane has contributed to Microsoft projects that received awards and nominations. His delivery work has included programmes for public sector bodies such as the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and the Commissioners of Irish Lights, as well as collaboration and communications projects for private sector organisations.
Storm Technology, part of Littlefish Group, operates from Dublin, Galway and Belfast. The business focuses on Microsoft-related consulting across sectors including hospitality, construction, utilities, sustainable energy and the public sector.
Parent group Littlefish provides managed IT and cyber services and says it supports more than 100,000 users worldwide. Its customer base spans public and private sector organisations, including National Gas, ASOS, DHU Healthcare and NHS Professionals.
Karl Flannery, Chief Executive of Storm Technology, said the appointment reflected O'Kane's track record at the company. "Conall's appointment as M365 Productivity & Engagement Practise Director is a direct reflection of his extensive expertise, commitment to client service excellence and his insurmountable value to Storm, his clients and the wider team. Under Conall's direction, the M365 Practise will continue to deliver real, lasting value to Storm's client portfolio as we advise and deliver digital transformation to businesses across Ireland," he said.
O'Kane said the new role spans client work, team development and Microsoft-focused delivery. "I am pleased to take on the role of M365 Productivity & Engagement Practise Director with Storm Technology. It's an opportunity I find energising due to the scope of the role, working closely with the client, managing complex challenges, growing and mentoring Storm consultants, all while staying at the cutting edge of Microsoft advancements. With extensive experience leading Microsoft 365 driven digital workplace transformation across public-sector and enterprise organisations in Ireland and the UK, I bring a strong blend of strategic practice leadership and deep hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Copilot, Purview, and the Power Platform. I'm passionate about sustainable adoption, quality delivery and building repeatable services, enabling high-performing teams, and positioning Storm Technology as a trusted partner for modern, compliant, and people-centric workplace transformation. I'm focused on driving meaningful digital transformation through M365 and look forward to bringing the practice to the next level," he said.
