SkillsVR unveils AI tool to rapidly convert training into VR
SkillsVR has introduced GenerateVR, an artificial intelligence-powered tool that transforms static training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, documents, and videos into interactive virtual reality (VR) learning modules within minutes. The development aims to make immersive learning more accessible and scalable for organisations that need to deliver consistent training across multiple locations.
Content transformation
GenerateVR is part of SkillsVR's Content Creation Kit (CCK) ecosystem. The tool allows users to upload existing training collateral, which the system then automatically converts into interactive simulations. These modules can be customised, deployed, and measured on the SkillsVR platform without requiring specialist technical skills or coding knowledge.
The ability to update and iterate on modules in real time enables organisations to keep training content aligned with changing needs and compliance requirements. The system also provides access to analytics that track user performance and learning gaps.
Cost and time barriers
Developing immersive VR training content has often involved lengthy development cycles and specialist teams, making it expensive and slow to update. By automating content creation, SkillsVR aims to eliminate these hurdles for companies of varying sizes and industries.
"We wanted to remove every barrier between an idea and a working VR module. GenerateVR makes immersive content creation as natural and accessible as writing a document - but infinitely more powerful," said James Coddington, CEO, SkillsVR.
Deployment flexibility
GenerateVR modules are compatible with a wide range of devices, including VR headsets, desktop computers, and mobile phones. This enables organisations to deliver training in different formats, depending on their workforce's needs and existing infrastructure. The tool integrates with SkillsVR's ecosystem, which provides features for content management, deployment, and analytics.
All training modules produced with GenerateVR are based on the organisation's original source materials. This source-grounded approach is designed to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and traceability within enterprise training programmes.
Scalability and insight
The move comes as more enterprises explore VR for employee training, prompted by hardware advancements and the desire for scalable content pipelines. GenerateVR gives learning and development teams direct control over the creation and update of immersive modules, rather than depending on external development services.
"Immersive learning has reached a turning point. The next leap is faster, smarter content creation. GenerateVR delivers exactly that," said Coddington.
