Sixthfin has appointed François Vallana as Chief Executive Officer, while founder Jean-Marc Allouët has become Chairman.

The leadership change comes as the French fintech expands internationally.

The move separates the company's top roles as it enters a new phase of growth. Vallana will lead the business, focusing on commercial expansion, internal processes and international development, while Allouët will concentrate on product direction, technology, AI, and research and development.

Sixthfin sells software for finance, control and audit teams, focused on risk detection and process optimisation. Its products are deployed in more than 70 countries and used by major multinational groups, including about 10 companies in France's CAC 40 index.

Leadership change

Vallana joins Sixthfin with a background in software, data and business-to-business platforms. He previously helped develop Enablon, a Paris start-up that later became part of Wolters Kluwer, and then served as Chief Executive Officer of Vecteur Plus.

His appointment reflects a common shift at growing technology companies, where founders hand day-to-day management to executives with operating experience while retaining influence over product and strategy. At Sixthfin, Vallana will oversee execution and expansion, while Allouët remains focused on innovation and partner relationships.

Sixthfin's customer base and geographic footprint suggest it has moved beyond the early-stage profile of many fintech start-ups. Its platform is used by more than 1,000 companies, including ADP Group, Saint-Gobain and RAJA, and it analysed more than €200 billion in 2025.

Finance focus

Sixthfin was created in 2020 with Geoficiency, which addressed risk, compliance and quality, and later expanded with Closing, which covers account analysis, justification, review and faster financial close processes. The group says it is addressing two long-standing issues for finance and control teams: bringing financial data together consistently and creating a common framework for controls, procedures and investigations.

This positions the company in a market where finance departments face pressure to improve oversight while managing more regulation, larger volumes of data and rising expectations around internal controls. Companies in this area aim to help customers spot anomalies, standardise workflows and improve visibility across reporting and audit functions.

In the company's account of the transition, Vallana's role will centre on turning that market position into broader commercial reach. "Finance departments face increasingly complex compliance and data management requirements. Sixthfin has developed a unique platform that provides a practical and high-performance response to these challenges. Joining the team at this pivotal moment in its history is a strategic opportunity to transform this technological advantage into an essential market standard," said François Vallana, Chief Executive Officer, Sixthfin.

Founder role

Allouët will remain involved as Chairman, with responsibility for product vision and the expansion of projects tied to technology, AI and research and development. This includes ongoing platform development and closer work with business partners.

The change gives Sixthfin a structure that separates operational management from longer-term product and innovation work. For founder-led software businesses, that can be an important step as customer numbers, international operations and internal complexity all increase.

Sixthfin's platform sits at the intersection of finance software and governance tools, a segment that has drawn attention as companies seek tighter control over financial processes. Demand in that market has been supported by pressure on finance teams to produce cleaner data, speed up closing cycles, and manage investigations and compliance reviews more consistently.

The business also points to AI as part of its development plans, although the immediate change is organisational rather than technical. By moving Allouët into the Chairman role, Sixthfin is signalling that product development and research will remain close to the founder, even as commercial and operational responsibility shifts to a new Chief Executive Officer.

"François's arrival marks a decisive milestone. His operational and commercial expertise is the perfect complement to our product vision. Together, we form a highly complementary leadership team capable of significantly accelerating our growth while maintaining the high standards and quality that Sixthfin's clients value," said Jean-Marc Allouët, Chairman, Sixthfin.
