ScienceLogic launches Skylar suite to unify AI & automation for IT

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

ScienceLogic has announced a refreshed portfolio of agentic AI offerings within the ScienceLogic AI Platform, introducing the Skylar suite of solutions to unify observability, automation, compliance, and AI for IT teams.

Unified platform

The new Skylar portfolio is designed to help IT leaders manage complexity and accelerate incident response by offering a centralised approach to operations. The Skylar suite includes four distinct offerings: Skylar One, Skylar Automation, Skylar AI, and Skylar Compliance. Each addresses key elements of modern IT operations and is built upon ScienceLogic's AI Platform foundation.

Skylar One, previously known as SL1, acts as the observability hub for hybrid and multi-vendor environments, enabling data integration from disparate sources and streamlining root cause analysis. The offering includes Skylar One Studio (formerly SL1 Studio) for monitoring integrations and custom observability setups.

Skylar Automation, formerly PowerFlow, is a low-code orchestration solution that connects a range of IT ecosystem tools, from IT service management (ITSM) systems and configuration management databases (CMDBs) to cloud and collaboration platforms. The intent is to automate the full lifecycle of incident management, reducing repetitive tasks for IT staff.

Skylar AI provides the predictive and proactive decision-making capabilities within the platform. It includes Skylar Analytics for unsupervised detection and forecasting, and Skylar Advisor for plain-language, actionable guidance aimed at reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR).

Skylar Compliance, formerly Restorepoint, offers centralised backup, recovery, and policy enforcement to bolster resilience and ensure compliance across varied IT infrastructures.

Addressing industry needs

"The evolution of our portfolio into the Skylar offerings shows how our platform has progressed to meet the needs of our customers in an increasingly agentic world," said Michael Nappi, Chief Product Officer at ScienceLogic. "By unifying observability, automation, compliance, and AI on the ScienceLogic AI Platform, we're helping IT leaders cut through complexity and move faster. Built on the platform our customers trust, Skylar brings new technologies that enable a far more automated state of IT operations."

According to ScienceLogic, the integration of the Skylar suite into the existing AI Platform aims to move beyond traditional passive AI assistance to provide active, decision-making support for IT teams. This includes AI algorithms capable of planning, reasoning, and executing remediation actions directly within enterprise environments.

The company positions Skylar as the centrepiece of its platform evolution, aimed at enhancing organisational efficiency and resilience as the use of agentic automation grows in the IT industry.

"With Skylar at the center of our platform, we're moving organizations closer to a future where AI and agentic automation eliminate friction, accelerate remediations and free teams to innovate," said Dave Link, CEO and co-founder of ScienceLogic. "This portfolio evolution marks a bold step forward for the IT industry-and a new era for ScienceLogic."

Industry recognition

ScienceLogic has recently been named a Leader in AIOps in the Forrester Wave AIOps Platforms, Q2 2025, as well as recognised in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms. These industry accolades highlight the company's stated role in supporting customers as they adopt more intelligent and automated operations approaches.

The Skylar suite is presented as a response to growing demands for unified visibility, proactive operational intelligence, and resilient IT infrastructure in multi-vendor, distributed environments.

ScienceLogic's updated platform and its Skylar offerings are part of the company's strategic direction as it continues to focus on service-centric observability, automation, and AI-driven solutions for enterprises, service providers, and government agencies worldwide.
