Schneider OffGrid launches in Europe as portable power station

Thu, 17th Apr 2025

Schneider Electric has launched its portable power solution, Schneider OffGrid, to the European consumer market.

The Schneider OffGrid portable power station is designed to provide back-up power for mobile devices and small appliances in a compact, lightweight design, targeting outdoor enthusiasts, digital nomads, and consumers seeking reliable power at home.

The unit supports a wide range of charging options, including USB, solar panels, AC sockets, wireless charging, car auxiliary power outlet, USB-A, USB-C, and DC ports. Schneider Electric states that this enables the product to power virtually any mobile device or small appliance.

David Mann, Category Management Director for Secure Power Europe at Schneider Electric, commented: "Whether you are hiking, camping, or need power in an emergency, Schneider OffGrid gives you power for your devices, no matter where you are, ensuring life's daily activities and adventures go uninterrupted."

The portable station is positioned for users who require uninterrupted access to electricity for activities such as music, cooking, and charging electronic devices. Schneider Electric notes that OffGrid aims to support modern lifestyles, including those of digital creators, DIY enthusiasts, and professionals who work remotely, by providing the necessary power for items like cameras, drones, and laptops.

Schneider OffGrid features a long-lasting rechargeable battery intended to keep devices running in off-grid locations or during power interruptions. As an alternative to traditional generators, the device operates with minimal noise and emissions, and users have the option to recharge it via compatible solar panels.

Sustainability is a key component in the product's design. Schneider OffGrid is constructed using 60% post-consumer recycled plastic, and its packaging is made entirely from recyclable paper cardboard and paper pulp. The device also includes an eco-mode with auto shutdown to conserve power and extend battery life.

The portable station is among the most lightweight models currently on the market, according to Schneider Electric, and offers a high capacity within a compact and sturdy build. Additional features include an ambient LED light and a flashing SOS mode designed to improve visibility and preparedness in unexpected situations.

Adaptability in charging options is emphasised, with the unit supporting various input methods such as solar, USB-C, car, and standard wall outlets. The integrated LCD display provides straightforward access to information, contributing to a simplified user experience.

Schneider Electric was recently recognised for the second time as the world's most sustainable company by Corporate Knights. The company describes its new portable power station as an example of its ongoing commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Schneider OffGrid is available throughout Europe via Amazon.
