Safe Software expands to UK & Ireland to boost customer support

Yesterday

Safe Software has announced an expansion of its business operations to the United Kingdom and Ireland, establishing new centres in these countries to enhance customer and partner support across Europe.

The Canadian company, known for its FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) enterprise integration platform, plans to use these new hubs as the focal point for increased collaboration, innovation, and localised expertise. The decision to grow its European footprint is part of a broader global strategy aimed at supporting clients more closely and achieving targeted revenue ambitions.

European expansion

Safe Software has stated that these UK and Ireland operations will serve as important locations for engaging with the regional customer and partner community. The company highlighted these moves as a demonstration of its ongoing commitment to its European client base and described the expansion as a natural step, given recent growth in demand for its services and expertise.

Employees with sales and customer success responsibilities will be hired locally, with hiring already underway for a range of roles in both countries. The firm emphasised that these teams will deliver faster response times and tailored solutions by being based closer to their customers.

Commitment to Europe

Safe Software pointed to a recent period of accelerated growth as providing the foundation for this new chapter in the European market. Part of the company's stated vision is to help organisations worldwide optimise their use of data and advance their operational objectives.

"Our customers are tackling complex, high-volume data challenges across industries, and they rely on our FME Platform, from Form to Flow to Realize, to turn data into action," said Don Murray, CEO of Safe Software. "By expanding into the UK and the EU, we're both strengthening support for our growing customer base and deepening collaboration with our partners, ensuring faster response times, tailored solutions, and end-to-end success throughout the entire data journey."

This expansion is also aligned with Safe Software's commercial goals. The company noted that the decision to establish a permanent presence in the UK and Ireland reflects its progress towards achieving its stated revenue objective of USD $250 million by 2028.

Support and innovation

The new operations in the UK and Ireland are expected to play a role beyond traditional customer and sales support. According to Safe Software, these locations will also foster innovation and additional regional collaboration. The firm sees these hubs as important in its long-term vision to build a global team dedicated to assisting customers as they address complex data challenges.

Since its founding in 1993 and its development of the FME platform, Safe Software has focused on supporting multiple data needs including spatial, real-time, big data, and cloud-based requirements. The company provides solutions to both public sector organisations and private enterprises, with clients spanning over 120 countries, and its FME platform supporting thousands of different systems and hundreds of integration tools.

Employment opportunities

With the new European hubs, Safe Software is now actively recruiting for roles across sales and customer success functions in the UK and Ireland. The company is placing emphasis on assembling a team that shares its goal of supporting complex data integration projects and contributing to wider organisational objectives for customers throughout the region.
