Quorum Cyber expands senior team to support global growth plans

Quorum Cyber has made a series of senior leadership appointments as part of a strategy to support its ongoing global expansion. The company, which operates across North America, the United Kingdom and other regions, has named John Bruce as Chief Information Security Officer, Mike LaPeters as Chief Revenue Officer, Stacey Sweeney as Chief Marketing Officer and Melissa Webb as Vice President for Microsoft Partnership.

Leadership additions

Quorum Cyber provides cybersecurity services and has a customer base spanning over four continents. The company stated the new leadership team will focus on strengthening operational capacity and scaling its activities internationally. The appointments include executives with extensive experience in cybersecurity, marketing, sales and partnership management.

John Bruce joins as Chief Information Security Officer, bringing over 25 years of experience in risk and cybersecurity leadership. His previous roles include CISO at Places for People Group and CGI, and senior positions at IBM, Lloyds Banking Group and Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

Mike LaPeters has taken up the role of Chief Revenue Officer, with a background of 30 years in building and leading sales and marketing teams for security, storage and infrastructure companies. He previously served as CRO at Huntress and Domotz, and held sales leadership roles at VeloBit, AVG Technologies and Winternals.

Stacey Sweeney becomes Chief Marketing Officer, following nearly three decades in marketing leadership within the cybersecurity sector. She has worked with firms such as Akamai, Quantum Xchange, SANS Institute and General Dynamics, where she has built and led marketing functions.

Melissa Webb joins as Vice President for Microsoft Partnership, bringing more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in enterprise technology. Webb has previously served as Global Alliance Executive for Microsoft Azure at Red Hat, Director of Business Development for Microsoft Azure, and Director of Global Strategic Alliance Marketing at VMware.

Global growth

The company, founded in Edinburgh in 2016, reports rapid expansion in recent years. Quorum Cyber holds the status of a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Security and has established itself as a Microsoft-only security services provider. The firm has over 400 clients worldwide, including organisations in mid-market and enterprise sectors.

The leadership changes are intended to support the company's drive to meet accelerating demand for its services and to continue investments in global markets. The focus includes both established and emerging regions of operation.

Executive priorities

The company has positioned the new leaders to drive areas such as operational scale, customer security and engagement in the Microsoft security ecosystem. The new appointments reflect an intention to bolster the company's ability to deliver on cybersecurity and resilience for its clients.
